  1. If only it worked like that. £100m to a prem club selling to a top 6 prem club, championship club selling to prem probably has a ceiling of about £25/30m post COVID.
  2. Fundamental problem, they have no staying power which means no one outside there area learns the song.
  3. Why are some people talking like Semenyo was some kind of super star and single handedly keeping us in the championship?
  4. Vu vu zela which ruined a world cup.
  5. We've got Wiles-Richards and Buse is in the under 21s. That might be enough until Bajic gets back next year.
  6. Could someone argue that LJ has had our highest finish in the last 15 years so even if it was nepotism it was relatively successful?
  7. I guess the juxtaposition to this is why would they give a shit? This place is (at a guess) 30, opinionated, mainly blokes, that are upwards of 40 years old that chat to each other on what is somewhat outdated medium with probably another 100 or so chipping in and maybe a thousand watching when something interesting happens like a manager getting sacked/player being bought/sold. IMHO if anyone really wants to ask them questions they should go and ask them questions where they are (twitter, Instagram, Facebook ect) not bekon them to us like we are the royal OTIB. Especially as the concerns (valid as they are) seem to being raised by small minority that haven't been affected some of which don't even go to games - I'm not sure what the outcome would be, probably something like "officially they don't want to upset the existing people in the A block and don't support people entering without a ticket but they don't control everyone entering the A block, that's a club matter who they let in"?
  8. I wonder if anyone that is part of the A block ultras is actually on the forum. Most people on the forum seem upwards of 40 and the average in A block is probably 16 - they probably don't even know this forum exists to answer your questions @BigTone.
  9. Someone who I thought was making up the numbers and not a competitive championship player last season goes on to become a top performer this season.
  10. I didn't take it any different to what you just said. The corner has been noisier since the A block lot moved out, I think there are 2 parts to this, less competing songs and a bit of competition for the noisiest area of the stadium.
  11. So basically what we already know - you will rarely hear fans at the opposite end of the stadium.
  12. The buzz of Tinnion park is just a memory for them, Cardiff has been successfully gentrified with large influxes of students and "professionals".
  13. I prefer 12:30 on a Saturday to a Sunday afternoon, would you have preferred a Sunday afternoon?
  14. I don't mind singing the tractor song to clubs that sing it at us as long as we sing it louder. Teaching it to other clubs that don't sing it at us seems pointless.
  15. Possibly the funniest thing ever on TV. Its really not subtle!
  16. If your judging OTIB by things that have actually progressed to happen within the club then we should probably sacked ?. Good tune, though I lack faith that we will be able to do a pause. second line "running down the wing won't mean a thing".
  17. Head back to the corner and sit in silent protest. It would make some on here happy for a game but will prove the point, it will be dull!
  18. And when they do because that's what away fans do everyone will say that because the roof up there slopes down it gives away fans an advantage and we all need to move up there so we need to kick the family stand out.
  19. But also enforced seating, you sit in your ticketed seat. Would we go for being in the same stand but having to sit in a designated seat?
  20. Yeah I know what you mean, Swansea always seem to come just for a fight, Cardiff tend to come over with similar numbers but are a bit less aggressive. How times have changed.
  21. Yeah I read the article, Italian ultras are clearly the worst and ultras in this country are no way comparable IMHO - in this country we seem to stick to the ideals of ultras (displays, pyro and vocal support) whereas in Italy it seems to sometimes morph into something like super organised hooligans but generally with the Italians they're generally not trying to cause violence and racism, it happens but it's not common. I would say that due to its organised nature when it is violent or racist then it's very violent or loudly and obviously racist which gets the story (as it should).
  22. Really lost the plot since your racist incident haven't you.
  23. cking-power-ultras-wield-over-italian-football Sorry but BigTone said ultras "generally refers to those with violent and racist ideals". This is wrong they generally refer to organised groups that use flares (primarily in tifo choreography), vocal support in large groups and the displaying of banners at football stadiums. hooligans generally refers to those with violent ideals and racists tends to refer to those with racist ideals.
  24. Taken from Wikipedia Ultras are a type of association football fans who are renowned for their fanatical support. The term originated in Italy, but is used worldwide to describe predominantly organised fans of association football teams. The behavioural tendency of ultras groups includes their use of flares (primarily in tifo choreography), vocal support in large groups and the displaying of banners at football stadiums, all of which are designed to create an atmosphere which encourages their own team and intimidates the opposing players and their supporters. While ultras groups can become violent, the majority of matches attended by ultras conclude with no violent incidents. Unlike hooligan firms, whose main aim is to fight hooligans of other clubs, the main focus of ultras is generally to support their own team. i.e. they are not hooligans, they are not there for violence, so maybe you should have done some more research and not just read what you wanted to read sweetie!
