  1. I liked the idea of keeping them around for a bit when NP was appointed so that NP could get some some background if needed. That time has passed and probably was passed a couple months ago so this makes sense.
  2. Unless I've completely missed it having read that twice where are you, Egypt?
  3. Take Tuesday night as an example, Forest fan walking along quietly then got to the Dolman entrance and started singing Forest songs looking around at everyone to see if anyone was going to say something, once the guy was a few meters further down the road some young lad tells him to "**** off". That was enough for this Forest fan to stop turn around started walking towards the young lad and said "come on then". This prompted about 20 of our young lads to think that was directed at them so they on mass walked towards him, he realised he had bit off more than he could chew and was massively outnumbered so he tried to leg it - a bit of a game of what I would deem rough tag ensued while they chase him around the Dolman entrance until the Forest fan made it to the park. Having seen it unfold before my eyes it was clear the Forest fan was looking for it, instigated it, found it, and then regretted it. Forest fan was obviously a bellend, our young lad shouldn't rise to it but at that age you don't really have that level of self discipline and can be quite easy to wind up.
  4. I see your going a bit viral for your (or Harry's) picture. I think the question has to be asked how much of this poor home form is your fault @Shtanley
  5. Gloating, goading generally winding people up and looking for trouble. I assumed the Swansea stuff post game was related to the Swansea stuff pre game. It exists on both sides, I'm not one of the "it only happens between like minded people" people and it's definitely both sides and innocent people always get caught up in it. I have wondered if it due to almost 2 years of not issuing football banning orders.
  6. Yes I seemed to have had a autofill meltdown on that last sentence and realised a couple hours later when someone else replied but couldn't got back and edit it at that point.
  7. This did not age well.
  8. There were plenty of joyful forest fans taking the piss on Ashton road after the game one of them decided to front up and say "come on then" when he was told where to go (so was obviously like minded?) and got chased around a bit. From what I've seen this season it's pretty normal now for away teams to take the piss on Ashton road. Bournemouth fans were doing it Saturday, Blackpool at the beginning of the season threw a few cans at themselves by accident while trying to target city fans, Preston were gobby apparently (didn't see that one), even Fulham gobbed off a bit but quickly walked away. I find it interesting because none of that wouldn't have happened pre COVID, not sure what's happened.
  9. If Pearson isn't the answer I'm not sure who is it's just going to take some time.
  10. I found myself trying to console myself on the way home, one way I did this was to think that at least the 2 (4 if you include Baker and Weiman) Pearson signings are good.
  11. It could be worse you could have come from Nottingham.
  12. Yeah, as I said - one of the best seasons in the last 30 years but some of those last 10 as we slipped away from the automatic positions were very quiet nervous atmospheres. Things like losing at home to Plymouth or the 0-0 with Wolves and Watford.
  13. Go on then, go there and educate them, I'm sure they will welcome you as they are a great group of lads.
  14. Almost like the survey was sceewed on purpose to give an answer they wanted to give ?.
  15. Didn't he answer that in his last interview to say he wouldn't be pitch side. He goes where he thinks it will have the best chance of us winning, with all his experience I'm going to trust him to be where he is needed. I also see his role as bit different to managers previously and other managers, he's certainly not a hands on coach, he seems more like a puppet master (rather than the blood and thunder type I expected of him - he seems rather zen), he seems to provide very clear guidance and requests to the players - they all seem to comment on this but he is already seemly a bit more removed and maybe a toe in that that DoF role we keep banging on about.
  16. Thinking it through Ashton gate must surely be in the top 50 stadiums in the country on any scale. I would be surprised if it's not in the top 30 but I guess it depends on what your looking for. It's arguably better than maybe half of the prem stadiums. Stadiums like West hams and Leicester's are just shit. Burnley, Palace and Watford have far worse facilities.
  17. Listened to nearly every episode and can say I've enjoyed most of them. Thanks @Shtanley for waisting your time on something that others enjoy so much. Have noticed there is currently no sponsor - what happened with mansion bet?
  18. All of this would be solved if the football was more enjoyable than a pint or god forbid we were allowed to drink in our seats.
  19. Maybe that was due to our recent record against Fulham. Maybe it's because we've become accustomed to losing and not enjoying it from that perspective. Maybe we're just getting back to normal and this fairly is normal after a few games. Whatever it is I'm fairly sure it's nothing to do with where people sit.
  20. I accept that some need away fans to get going and need that spice but that shouldn't really make a difference. It shouldn't all be about the banter IMO, it should be about getting behind your team. We also had enough poor atmospheres when home and away fans were next to each other in the best stand for containing acoustics.
  21. Can't remember when Redknapp said it. Warnock said it after the Palace game I believe but I can remember games that season that had a really flat atmosphere and it was one of our best seasons in the last 30 years. The reality is generally speaking we are big game players that find it hard to motivate ourselves for games against journeyman teams or those we perceive to be below us.
  22. Absolutely. The only point to make on top of that is that it was flat before the game as well, we haven't had anything to seriously get behind for a few seasons and the championship season is exhausting and we seem to already be exhausted by it as a group of fans. we just need to win on Tuesday and hopefully the atmosphere will be better.
  23. I thought it was flat before the game on Saturday, it was flat when the game started and was flat until the second half when for about 5 mins we had a go and the crowd were singing JD. Not having a go but the corner just didn't seem up for it let alone the rest of the ground.
  24. If you ask SL I'm fairly sure he would say he did go for it in 2007 and again in 2008. This is part of the problem one way or the other - whenever SL goes for it it's not enough so we barely notice and then seem to wonder why we don't go for it creating frustrated fans.
