I’ll only be happy about us taking Lampard if we were to stick his fat ass into our midfield.

Hi mate, you down there for all the advertised hours? I'll come say hi, and the scallop ceviche is giving me feelings
Yeah man!

Hey people, I’m doing a pop-up at the Scrandit on Christmas Steps this Thursday-Sunday.
If you’re into South East Asian cuisine it will totally be up your street!
@Kid in the Riot you might be interested for sure

Scott out injured for a few months apparently. Guess that also pushed us to sell now!

Dewsbury Hall too good for the champ IMO. Can still see him leaving before end of the window.

Leicester look so open to the counter. Large gaps in their back line. Will take a while for them to get last season’s ‘cobwebs’ out of their system IMO, so probs good to play them early doors before they click. Really impressed by Coventry already though, pretty sure they’ll be up there this campaign. Can just see it now, Jay DaSilva in the Championship team of the year for 2023/24

Same story from Percy but a bit more depth.
Anyone able to copy/paste the full article. Bloody paywalls!

Quite happy with 25 million, just hope we bring in another midfielder otherwise I think we're lacking some depth.
Not convinced we will. Pearson mentioned we’re looking to get 1 more in but that will most likely be at GK or CB to cover for Kalas leaving & Atkinson’s injury.
Feel like we’ll go with what we have got until Jan at least. Scott will leave a big gap in our side of course. Wonder if Mehmeti could be converted into a 10 with James & Knight behind him. Otherwise can see Knight playing as the advanced midfielder with James and Williams/Naismith behind.

£2,500 per week and championship football, or £30/40/50k per week in the premier league and being financially secure for the rest of your life, is one heck of a gamble for a 19 year old!
Would any of us take it?
Surely if it gets closer to season kick off, we would be looking to offer him a new extended contract worth around 20k a week but with a nailed on buy out clause of 25m inserted. No idea what the details are on the current contract offer he has on the table from us.

West Ham have now bid for Paulinha at Fulham, £45m apparently. If that goes through could Fulham then join the race for Scott? They certainly play some good stuff under Silva. Could see Scott fitting into their team well in fact.

You're in for an absolute treat, chef.
Gordon was front and centre at the kitchen and on service. He doesn't take any shit. My missus had an existential crisis about eating a homemade black pudding, which was accompanying a beautiful portion of suckling pig, for some reason. Gordon's response "nay pudding for you!"
It's firmly in the "eat what you get" style of tasting menu, but everything was on point and I would HIGHLY recommend the wine flight. I got to taste some truly unique wines, that were paired beautifully with each dish. Canadian ice wine, anyone??!
I won't go into any more detail on the dishes to ruin any surprises, though by all accounts he changes up the menu regularly with seasonal produce.
Service was really friendly (Gordon's other half) and overall I'm putting this in the top three meals I've ever eaten out.
Enjoy mate!
Wow! Sounds like a great experience. Top 3 meals as well, woahhhhh. Thanks loads for reporting back Can’t bloody wait!
Also going to Cor on the same day for lunch, so an absolute food bonanza for me that day
I’m leaving Kiln in Soho early next month (banger of a restaurant if anyone hasn’t been yet) so looking forward to having a life again and eating out at some other places

I’m not sure Scott is ready to just walk into a top six side’s starting line-up yet. He would probably say the same himself.
Yep agree which is why I think Brighton could be a great first move for him, and then he’ll probably get his top 6 move a few years after.
Saying that, if you’re good enough you’ll play. We’ve seen that with Bajcetic at Liverpool who is 18. Definitely similarities between him and Scott, the way they glide with the ball and hustle opponents.

The way Ian Wright was talking Scott up I wouldn’t be surprised by interest from Arsenal
Can’t see Arsenal being in the run-in for him, especially as they have Xhaka, Jorginho, Partey, Odegaard & ESR in those central areas.
Liverpool literally need to replace their entire central midfielders as Henderson, Milner, Keita and Fabinho have lost their legs and just don’t cut it anymore. Liverpool have a long standing interest in Mason Mount though and obviously Bellingham.
Spurs could definitely do with him too. Could see Scott sitting just ahead of Bentancur and Hoijberg. They have Oliver Skipp in there too but I think Scott can be better than him.
I wonder if Brighton would go in for him if they lose MacAllister in the Summer which is very likely. We’ve obviously done a big deal with them previously (Webster) so could suit. I do think Scott is a level up from them though, but I think their football would suit him and he’d most likely get real game time.
Newcastle would be interesting option. He’d fit Howe’s philosophy quite well, and could see him linking up well with the likes of Bruno G & Anthony Gordon.

FWIW I think Jay is much better as a LB than a LWB.
Jay was also rather decent against West Brom in the FA cup, one of our best performances this entire campaign.
