  1. I am going tonight, 35 minute walk down. As I work shifts I won't have to take holiday to go.this time.  Anyone working shifts 8,10 or 12 hour double days or 24/7  day/night shifts can find it difficult to balance extra games like tonight's whilst being a season card holder.  Games that clash with shift patterns that would need to take holiday for are not going to keep the Mrs happy. When clubs put out weakened sides in early rounds,   it gives the impression that they are not bothered so why should'nt some fans think the same when they have more pressing problems in their lives ?

  2. Why do cyclists think that its ok to ride through crowds of fans, young and old either walking around or stood in a queue at the food vans ? Why don't they see ,from a Health and Safety point of view that its stupid and can injure someone. If the stewards are told not to let them pass on those grounds then well done. If they can't get off their Push bike and Push it safely through the crowds then keep them out.

  3. oh, So THOUSANDS in the car park then ?  or looking for the Dodgy gate entrance ?  They also only had the Third highest home average in the Basement league last season .

    Bradford City  15,582

    Swindle            9,449

    Gash                 7,500

Yep they certainly justify a bigger ground..

  4. Very sad news. I remember being in the Inns Court pub back in the day. Stoney walked in and up to the bar . Pulled a violin out from its case ,went through the motion of trying to place a hankercheif just right on his shoulder before placing the violin in place. Then plucking a string as if to tune it . Stopping to crack jokes before going through the whole procedure again and again and again. He never played the instrument but had us all in fits at the performance. We both played for Broad Plain House . Stoney was playing in goal this game, away at Henbury on a freezing day. Broad Plain were about 6 up in the 2nd half and snow was in the air. It was one way traffic till our opponents broke away , we turned to face our goal but there was no sign of Stoney. He decided to go and get changed as there was no point in freezing himself as the game was won.  I'll remember his 'gentlemen's evenings and his 'extra's appearances in films. His bus conductor bit part where he actually got to say a line and him in Welsh Back filming as a German soldier extra.  As so many have said he was a real character and true legend.  The goal he scored as a referee made the national newspapers. It is no myth. He scored  a header from a corner for a team who were getting hammered. Nice one Stoney. RIP

  5. We have'nt been too successful at previous continuity appointments in the past but he do'es come across well. I do like his opinion on 'Football Prevention Officers'.  He would instill a Winning attitude in the kids before they get to the first team.

  6. An incentive to renew early and keeping your seat for next season. Much needed cash flow for club while no match day revenue in off season. For those that leave it as late as possible to buy season cards ,have to pay the increase and will not be able to keep their seat.
