Just realised he’s gone Toney over Solanke, Solanke has been great this season where Toney has barely showed anything since the ban ended

Pretty understandable when you have had nearly a whole year off from football, he will probably peak end of season.

Seen glimpses i guess but i would say its a tad harsh on solanke as none of them will play a minute when the tournament starts.

I think the way players are allowed to decide they're one nationality when playing youth football then suddenly switch to being another as an adult on the basis of a grandparent is a loophole that should be stopped. Play for England U21 and you remain English. Especially if you grew up in f-ing Luton.

I did a dna test not so long ago, i was born in bristol and always lived in england for the most part but apparently my dna has zero English in it... its got welsh, irish and Scottish tho 🤣

So in my opinion if your born in the uk your basically got every right to qualify for either of the home nations ...

They're betting the farm on "He needs the summer to get his own players in".

He does deserve time and he does deserve his own players but there's a lot of evidence this season to make you wonder whether even that is the answer.

I fear we won't enjoy finding out.

Own players? I thought he was just the head coach and following a project? The odds we get loads of HIS players in the summer is pretty slim.. and if he does then i think alot of fans will be a bit anoyed they didnt back the manager last summer and wasted this season 🤔...

Manning has us in the top half with 12 games remaining, I maybe wrong of course but I can’t remember Pearson having us this high at this stage. I like Pearson for the record and think he left us in a better state when he took over but it’s time to move on and for me Manning has done more than enough to be backed going forward

Wasn't pearson in the top 6 at one point this season and was only 5 points at most away from the playoffs 🤔

Any alternatives to the apparently dreadful wastes of money that were Cornick and Mehmeti?

Dont get me started on mehmeti, ffs this guy is dreadful, he gave me hope in that 1st half against west ham but he should be nowhere near the first eleven, as for cornick i don't see why everyone hates him, everytime he comes on he works hard and at least pressed and got chances.

He just never has a run in the team to hit form

  6. Back him, how exactly is it liam's fault? We all knew this team wasnt consistent enough, thats why we appreciated the job pearson was doing.

Its john lansdown and brian tinnion, that proclaimed this team were top 6 material!

There have definitely been some highs under manning (saints, bora, west ham and forest games.)

But the lows are tough to take, its so ovbious that we needed a striker, the defensive partnership doesn't seem to be working, how many times did we get caught out today, goals today could of easily been avoided.

Until he gets a full pre-season and is backed in the summer with the missing pieces, this style of play won't work.

Can any of you really say nigel pearson wouldnt of done a better job this season?

Should of let him go in the summer instead of destroying our whole season.

  7. He completely changed their fortunes last season to keep them comfortably safe, would of most likely got through this bad patch too.

They should of just let the guy retire on a high last season, you could tell he was fed and knackered from his interviews the last few weeks.

  8. Surely the only option a fan would choose is to get into the playoffs?? Like who would  seriously think yeh id love to consolidate on our midtable mediocrity 🤣

To be fair even before peason left we had a possibility of being in and around the playoffs its just we would never pick up a long enough run together to get close.

But what i want and what i think we will do are entirely different, to see us battle well against prem sides, surprising the smug saints, only makes me want to dream higher... only i know ill be disappointed in the not so distant future.

  9. I thought id put a cheeky punt on man city after our disappointing loss, never have i felt so pleased for a player to come on!

His goal was such a kdb goal! Its just you cant defend it!

I feel like man city without kdb, is a team thats beatable, with him they have the best midfielder in the world right now.
