Why is it baffling? he IS great for England.

I think he's been a victim of a terrible United side for a few years. It's not like they look brilliant and solid without Maguire is it?

I wish he'd left in the summer and gone and enjoyed his football elsewhere without the shit his own fans give him. Half of it is probably confidence, which is why he looks better for England.

Also with Stones out it's very likely that Colwill (under 21s winner) could start one of the two games, it would be silly not to have some experience alongside him in what is 2 potentially difficult fixtures.

His last 4 games for england hes been as shocking as he was for united how are you seriously defending him? Its all well and good being good in a back 5 with better defenders protecting you but hes over 30 on the decline and playing hardly any minutes for his club, its a disgrace hes still in the england team.

Henderson too. I'd get it if he was still playing in the Prem, but he's moved to a poor league for purely financial reasons. The moment he moved there should've been the end of his England career.

I think hendo is basically a glorified cheer leader at this point, i agree tho, hes wasting a valuable spot for someone who could get bedded in.

People saying maguire is great for england is baffling to me, hes 5th choice for a poor man united defence, if you want to win tournaments you need get rid of him.

  3. This is why we wont win anything with Gareth, he should be bedding in the youngsters who just won a tournament, yet hes giving Phillips and maguire who shouldn't be anywhere near the euros next year a place in the squad for no reason but sentimentality.

It’s up to Nige now to force SLs hand by pushing us towards the upper parts of the league during the season. He has no choice if NP does well really.

Its quite clever on SLs part because if we finish lower mid table, SL can sit back and say I was right not to back him with funds.

It is all very strange though as the job he’s done under the circumstances I would imagine any other champ club would have offered a new contract by now.

The problem is if nige does well with us this season whats stopping him from leaving end of the season for a better job with his stock high?

Just seems embarrassing by the club to not offer him an extension, especially with the great job he has done with his hands tied behind his back.

People saying they want progressive managers in place is baffling to me, thats all well and good if you have the money to implement their systems but we don't and all the hard work would be undone.

So basically what your saying is you can talk crap and not be questioned on it? Ok ill remember that for next time

Oh my God i, so upset that a bloke on the internet called me plastic. Im gonna cry.....

Its called different view and if you cant accept that people feel different without having to insult them then that would indicate that you didnt get enough love from your Mum and maybe just a little bit to much from your Dad,

Just because you have a different view it doesnt make you right...

    OTIB is ******* toxic.

We’ve been bloody marvellous since I started watching on 22 mins. Against a team who’ve spent loads and are at home.

People are just desperate for us to fail.

Embarrassing some on here, its like they get satisfaction when we lose just so they can be deemed right, some were slagging the team off before kickoff

I've seen us in lower leagues, I've seen us thrashed by more, I've seen us in a lot worse situations.

But I don't think I've walked out down Winterstoke Road more pissed off, bored and thinking "why am I doing this" than the last two home games.

It isn't just me either. My neighbour in the Dolman said he thinks this might be his last season as a STH. He's been going for years.

Given that we've had a lot worse sides than we have now, I've tried to justify my feelings.

I think it's because we - the fanbase - had our expectations high this season and the AG results and the general atmosphere surrounding the club at present just seems as flat as ****.  Even Pearson's last interview after the Birmingham defeat sounded as boring and as uninterested as could be.

Entitled some might say. But my response is if you pay the best part of £600 + the travel, the time, the other expenses, to see your club, you are entitled to think those in charge of it at least give a shit.

I'm long in the tooth enough to know that this ennui could soon dissipate with a couple of lively results.

But my point is that the OP is certainly not alone with feeling it.

There is no chance in hell that the last 2 home games have been the worst you have ever seen at city, stop being so dramatic, theres fans like southend who have just got a 10 point deduction and dont know whether they will be a club in the future and your neighbour is thinking of ending his season ticket because of a boring 1-1 draw and a loss to Birmingham ? i guess he doesnt watch away games then, didnt like millwall or oxford?

We have lost our best player, got countless injuries to important players and your panicking and moaning after 3 games!

  9. For a club thats underachieved royally for our entire existence, we have some entitled fans, people don't realise the job pearson has done to make us even competitive, other managers would of been sacked by now and we would of been relegated, so basically your saying lets bin pearson after all his hard work because we have drawn one lost one and won one after 3 games ? Beggers believe some you guys

The commentators desperate to give Leeds everything.

Kipre just played the ball, what are they watching.  It was clumsy, and he only just played it.

For the refs…re Ayling - am I right in thinking you can’t just wander off the pitch to make a player offside.  He was on the pitch anyway. (Very different to sliding off the pitch in a challenge)

Molumby - desperate for him to get 2 yellows.

I suppose we just deal with it?

I remember the year leeds went up the last time, it was embarrassing, bielsa the greatest ever manager in history, spygate and the usual 25+ live games on sky to our 3 or 4.

Initial analysis showed that on that day several new accounts were created at Betway, account linked with people close to Paqueta, with users depositing the maximum amount allowed. These accounts made a married bet to increase the winnings: the authors would only receive the money if Paquetá took yellow against Villa and if the striker Luiz Henrique, from Betis, received the card against Villarreal, on the same day on March 12.

As a betting man who has had some fairly decent wagers over the years, that statement is just something all betting firms would use, and it looks worse to someone looking in. How does Betway even know these people are close to the player - same Country, agents, friends names, social media? As for the maximum stakes allowed, I would say with a new account the limits would be tiny, nobody would be getting on tens of thousands, be lucky to get a couple of hundred on. It could easily be someone who had a view on a bet and to get anything fairly decent on, multiple accounts are used (but still only one punter). I used to bet the same horses with about 25 different accounts, nothing dodgy on the betting front so to speak, just to try and get the money on.

Not to say he isn't guilty mind, but Betway would have systems in place to pick up any strange betting activity and could easily void the bets before they even start, I would guess they let them all run hoping they would either lose and keep the money, or wait and if they won then they void the bets and not payout any winnings.

I know for footballers its against the rules to bet on football but surely these betting companies must have gdpr rules in place?  Like with ivan toney, surely his betting history is his private data?

Seems it benefits them i guess to get their money back from scams like paqueta but seems like they shouldnt be sponsering football in the first place surely?

I work in a bookies and the government seem to be working on killing all shops to help safer gambling, yet dont seem bothered about the online side because it makes so much profit and tax for them. ?

  12. This is a bit of an odd case, if there was no pictures or voice recordings, would this even be an issue anymore?

Kurt zouma had a recording of him kicking a cat, Cristiano ronaldo had a dodgy case where he paid off a woman accusing him of rape, ched evans got given a chance again after his career was destroyed.

Just look at bristol rovers very own joey barton, the guy was a horrible man who still has a career now.

Where do we draw the line of who shouldn't play football anymore?

Well this is all kinds of stupid

Smith is now 32 his legs have gone and is injury prone, if we relied on him we'd be in trouble

Brownhill would of left on a free as his contract would of expired

Webster would of left on a free as his contract would of expired

Fammy left on a free because his contract expired

    Morrell isn't a championship player

Kelly would of left on a free as his contract would of expired

Semenyo would of left on a free as his contract would of expired

Please can you share the secret to the footballing world how you force players to stay at a club because you will make ******* billions

All that says to me is that whoever is dealing with contracts dropped the ball... but we all know how badly our recruiting was during this period, if we didnt sell them we would be even more worse off for ffp right now.
