  1. Not an easy thing to do at his age. Or so I'm told.?
  2. When Atkinson signed Nigel said he would play in the Premier League. If he maintains his current trajectory he may well do.
  3. Weren't AC Milan banned from European competition for a year?
  4. Any club at risk of breaching P&S is sure to claim a precedent. Stoke come to mind and we seem to be buddies with them on this so I'm sure Gould will be all over it.
  5. Has he not noticed how dwindled his own club's attendances already are? Despite the thrilling football they apparently play they couldn't fill the ground when the capacity was reduced despite once taking 40,000 to Wembley.* Has it also occurred to him that fans also want modern stadiums with quality facilities so might be deterred from watching football in the worst stadium in the EFL? All Shrewsbury's fault though. *may not be accurate.
  6. Unlikely anybody will sign a player who looks still to be some way from fitness. Indeed because he played for so long with little or no break he's suffered a lot of wear and tear. Nigel has said in the past how much he likes him. I'm sure he would love to have a fully fit Kalas available, given he said today that we are short of centre backs.
  7. Ah, Facebook, that reliable source of accurate information. There again perhaps Rangers fancy going out of business again by paying the kind of wages he commands.?
  8. I think so in one sense. Nigel says he likes to play with high energy but that dissipates when you introduce the likes of James and King who lack the intensity of those they replace.
  9. I was referring specifically to the partial defensive improvement we have seen that is still work in progress. The improvement Nigel has delivered in our attacking play is off the scale and far more than I would have thought possible. Otherwise I agree with you.

You may be right Dave though I thought Nigel had said it wasn't a new injury.

Doesn't seem likely. The last thing Nigel said was that Kalas would have to see if he could play through pain. He's been doing that for a while anyway and the operation doesn't seem to have worked
  12. I agree there is some improvement though it's a bit 2 steps forward 1 step back. Mistakes happen but we are still to eliminate as far as possible unforced errors. Probably a mental problem and Nigel's next big challenge.

    That'll change in 10,9,8,7,...?
  14. Agreed but that's a very big if. The problem seems to be intractable. Still, this is the most exciting attacking team since Cotts but that that was in League 1 so this attack is significantly better imo.
  15. I'm sure Nigel will be discussing it with the players in pretty robust terms! He gets as frustrated as anybody with all the individual errors. He has totally transformed us as an attacking force but nobody needs to tell him there are issues to fix. Which means it's fine for us to discuss them too.
  16. But we weren't pressing forward. If you want to do that you don't bring on Andy King and faff about at the back rather than using the likes of Semenyo as an outlet.
  17. The way I see it there are players Nigel trusts (King and James because of the Leicester connection presumably) and others he doesn't (Tanner and Wilson for instance). Which is fine if the ones he prefers justify that trust. I'm not sure they do but he's a stubborn man so I expect it to happen again.
  18. Nigel said last week that we are not a team that can sit back and absorb pressure. So why do we do exactly that so often?
  19. Despite signing Tanner and Wilson he apparently doesn't trust them yet. Expect Sykes to be back at RWB against Huddersfield.
  20. In this instance yes but for a very long time we have been making individual errors giving away goals, especially late ones, regardless of who plays. It is now deep in the psyche. We expect it to happen and it must play on the players' minds, which in turn makes it more likely to happen and on and on it goes.
  21. I'm baffled as to how to fix it. It doesn't seem to matter who the personnel are it's still groundhog day.
  22. Pretty clear why Nigel would like another centre back and a defensive midfielder. On and on it goes.?
