    Yep, agree again.

I think the one major lesson we have learned this season (well we should have as the evidence is almost irrefutable)... Kal Naismith is absolutely vital to us in possession and we are significantly worse both on the eye and statistically, when he's not playing.

Easily the first name on the team sheet for me.

If the club is gonna sell all the family silver, then we know what happens, been here before.

    It doesn’t work like that.

If a premiership club want any of our players then the player will want the move. It’s premier league football and much higher wages, the club won’t really have much choice once the money offered meets the clubs valuation.

He appears to have worked really hard to become a real pest of a midfielder, in the Korey Smith mould.

Hi Dave, who out of the younguns are the next ones to keep an eye out for. Any particular ones that stand out you think may get a sub appearance or two maybe this season ?

    cheers

  4. So is this another one for the future, or genuine competition for Max and the number 1 spot ?

im usually impressed by a highlight reel on YouTube but didn’t see anything special in that one to be honest.

hard to tell with these video clips though, we don’t seem to have had much luck with foreign keepers up to this point…

We came close to scoring from one from Naismith second half, and one from James (first half) when it was cleared back out to him.  The number of goals from corners is statistically very small, it really is a fine margin hitting it in with pace at just the right height to clear the first man.  We saw how many times Martin and Diedhiou cleared balls in a similar vain.

I’d be quite happy to see them chip balls in for our biggies to get a run at, but that’s statistically no better either, would just feel less frustrating.

Yeah I remember Pochettino saying he couldn’t understand in England why everyone gets so excited by a corner as statistically the number of goals from corners is minimal.

unless you go back to stoke of the Pulis era when corners and the long throw caused mayhem for other teams.

What is this work in progress tosh?! Do you think that any club is given time to mess about and build a footballing dynasty these days? Utter garbage. It's just an excuse for having a team that lacks in quality at this level. Karl Robinson was given years at the franchise and they are back to treading water again.

Is Tomlin Adebayor in disguise? Did we actually sign Engvall or is it a cardboard cut out on the bench? If there isn't enough pressure to get the lad in side already just imagine how it will be when he is expected to save us from a relegation dog fight after Christmas?

Lee Johnson said it himself that we won a lot of the early season games when we didn't deserve to. Take away Tammy's goals and we would be in a dog fight now. So now our luck has ran out and our performances haven't greatly improved the penny is beginning to drop for fans that have been subjected to this boom and bust football for decades.

The happy clappers are still believing the work in progress propaganda, but the reality is that the majority of Lee's signings have delivered little or no return. The other Barnsley players that he wanted to sign (probably the better ones) chose to go elsewhere.

Be interesting to see what happens in January, but the responsibility for continual lacklustre performances rests at the door of the manager.

Something needs to happen soon, either we put in a quality performance or two on the bounce or we purchase one or two players with Championship quality in January otherwise I fear that the slide may continue.

Anyway, at least we can forget about the playoffs now. Back to squeaky bum time!

    Superb post

Just heard Dopey on RB, being a tad critical of the ref.   He had the situation summed up beautifully, "Maybe the game was too big for him......"

Nice to hear that the delusion goes on and on and on and on..........

Mate I heard it too, literally laughed out loud.

    wycombe wanderers V Bristol rovers

the games don't come much bigger than this......

And what is with this agent cotterill nonsense !!!

we used that when our ex players went there and they performed badly. You can't turn it round and use it with a manager that has no affiliation with rovers and was one of the most successful managers in our history.

    *****ing idiots !!!!
