    Might have knocked the billy big bollocks attitude out of him (failing to make much of an impression in League 1), but I doubt it. Would be surprised if he plays in the championship again, unless we have an injury crisis this year.

    He’s got the best brief money can buy, and he’s got away with one court case already. I expect him to be found Not Guilty, even though I think he’s guilty as sin from the public evidence.

    If HMRC are prepared to sacrifice 65% of the bill to keep Derby alive, as a taxpayer I’m prepared to sacrifice 100% of it to make sure they die, to discourage others. What an alarming precedent.

    I’m am amazed that any club would give Barton an interview with the court case on the horizon and jail time surely a certainty if convicted.
