I've been ashamed to call myself English since the Brexit vote and its fallout. Can't even have sport to make me feel better
Wow, you OK petal, need a hug?
Politics and Sport eh, what a lovely mixture.
Hope the other nations aren't as scarred.

Great result. Toasting the win.

Up The City. Let's make it another sporting win in Cardiff by an English side to put those pesky Celts in their place!
-
Well, that was superb. Well done Bris. According to the BBC site we beat a "depleted" Saints side, funny that, thought we were also somewhat depleted.
Never mind........9 TRIES!
Bring on the Quins, who knows.

Certainly not the team or manager, that’s for sure…
oh, and the pitch, the stands, the tents, the catering, the disabled area, the ticketing, the shop, the toilets, the stewards, the PA system, the floodlights, the fans, the atmosphere, the turnstiles, the parking, the ‘big’ screen….
Apart from all that, they're almost ready then!

The last term I would use for their lovely 'fans' would be the word "accepting"!

Agree that Farrells kicking is a concern, however, a win has been achieved in Cardiff, that's simply marvellous.

Very well done today. A City win, an England win (another one), Bears beat the Wax Jackets, superb, might have a Babysham to celebrate.

Max, "I'm the only keeper in the village". Horrendous, looks like an explosion in a blancmange factory.

Scrappy but I'll take the win, that's what it's all about, especially against the wax jackets.

I like it, think it's a whole lot better than our current kit.

I think it’s more the fact that Hummel was such an iconic and worldwide recognised brand, so to go from that to a brand that very few would have even heard of will probably be why its being seen as a bit tinpot.
To be honest you only have to look at the football clubs they supply on their website, all clubs i have never heard of bar Wycombe. Says it all really.
But they also have a pub chain and a cracking line in surf gear, hardly tinpot babber ☺

A mate of mine (sadly a Gashead) has informed me that a group of wives (all Gasheads) are going to Ashton Gate tomorrow for the England Womens game. They have tickets for the Lansdown Stand and have never been to the Gate before. There must be quite a few others going too.
Wouldn’t it be good to see their faces and listen to their reactions as they enter the concourse.
What do you think their first comments would be?

Glenn Whelan, I think
Only if he's lost about a foot and a half in height, aged 20 odd years and put on about 5 stone.

He's actually quite a nice bloke (apart from being a rabid gas head)
Think I briefly met him once, 'rabid gas head' was my assessment.

So for the first time in my life I caught a ball at a game of sport tonight. Bears missed conversion in the 80th minute. Remember me when I'm famous.
Fair play. Was thinking last night if it could ever happen to me and whether I'd head it!
Your front of South Stand I presume.
Good to get the win.

Mehmeti, Bell & Sykes front 3 today.
You got it right last time babber. If you are correct again I'm really going to need those 6 lottery numbers please?

Traffic lights removed

Temporary traffic lights have been put up this afternoon on the A37 Whitchurch just up from the Black Lion pub, causing big tailbacks.
Best leave more time if taking that route in tonight babbers.

Back on track.
I watched the game on Robins TV for the first time, it was OK. Decent camera coverage and commentary.
I'm not sure if it's been mentioned before but late second half but that McClean character, whilst fouling into the back of Sykes deliberately racked his studs down the right ankle/achilles.
Very naughty and surprised the officials didn't spot it.
ps before I edit, not surprised the officials didn't spot it.
