  1. Multiple people reporting Fleming has already gone.. unless that is complete BS which it could well be!
  2. Can’t see a Scott Parker for one second working under the current setup.. I think Tinnions interview pretty much ruled out a number of candidates purely on the fact that the setup here isn’t going to be to the liking of managers who have player or managed at a higher level. I genuinely believe it is going to be someone from the lower leagues who will see this as a big opportunity and will tow the line. Can’t see it going any other way to be honest.
  3. A fairly poor game and a win against let’s be honest a team we should be comfortably beating at home. Fair play to Fleming and the lads though, difficult circumstances and they did enough to win the game. Wasn’t pretty but they did enough. Can’t complain too much, only 4 points off the play-offs aswell, a decent starting point for whoever the new man is that comes in and takes over.
  4. Fair play Nige, we won’t forget what you did for our club. Still gutted he has gone
  5. **** me there are some strange characters on this forum
  6. Who’s your source fella? The man in your local boozer?..
  7. Same. Raising the profile of the football club is about the only thing i can think of. I just can’t see Lampard coming here and doing well for some reason, everything just screams that it just wouldn’t work out..
  8. You’re better than that Fordy
  9. But as has been said on numerous occasions and again by Fleming in the press conference yesterday, almost all of our injuries are impact ones. Impact injuries are what they are, JL can say what he wants about rest time etc etc but you cannot prevent genuine impact injuries. We have just been unlucky IMO however its clear to see they have just tried to find any excuse to use to the detriment of Nige and his team.
  10. Yeah just confirmed what we already knew then. The boy thinks he knows better than the vastly experienced PHD qualified Dave rennie, and Brian ******* Tinnion seems to now have full control of all football operations. God help us.
  11. Steve Coppell to give it another go
  12. I had the feeling it was more Pearson who was personally against them more than the club to be honest. Just the feeling i always got, might be wrong..
  13. Interesting. He certainly will have to work with different ‘tools’ here if what Tinnion is saying is actually to be believed and that is our concrete plan going forward.
  14. Don’t know a great deal about him other than he had Brum playing some decent stuff this season. Echo others in it’s a downgrade on Pearson or at the very least a sideways moved. Feels pointless and needless upheaval when things were starting to progress well under Pearson. Seems this is what crayon boy and his old man have craved so much since LJ though and have finally got their wish. The fashionable up and coming younger ‘first team coach’. Nige was unfortunately just being used to get us out of a hole wasn’t he..
  15. They have no way back from this for me. Never seen the fanbase this united on something, they really have stirred the hornets nest big time with this one. Time to sell up Steve.
  16. A ******* disgrace. I’ve never been this angry at the club in my 28 years of support. How just how can any logical person come to the rational conclusion that this squad is good enough for promotion? If listening to his whining insipid voice isn’t bad enough the absolute lies and rubbish coming out of it is actually infuriating. I’m sorry that was unacceptable Jon. Please just **** off out of our football club along with your father.

Arguably the next step is even harder though. Many managers can take teams through the lower leagues but hit their ceiling when they try and get a team from the championship to the prem. Nothing against Robins but as others have said he doesn’t give me anymore confidence that he will do a better job than Pearson did for us if he was to get the gig here.
  18. Would never in a million years happen.
  19. I wouldn’t be unhappy with Wilder but as you said he will only take the job i’d imagine if he has been guaranteed backing in January and beyond. Would be a huge slap in the face for Pearson if that is the case but as many have said the nest egg was clearly being saved up for the next man to come in and spend..
  20. Indeed. The vast amount of debt and the very reason we got ourselves into the FFP mess we got in (which Pearson did such a brilliant job at sorting out) is directly because of Steve and his boy’s decisions. The buck stops with them.
  21. Had a slightly decent spell at Birmingham in his only ever gig as a head coach, he has only ever been number 2 or caretaker elsewhere. Still a huge gamble going for him but he would have to be a better shout than the failure that is Rowett..
  22. Totality agree. I have woken up actually more angry today than anything. The statement from the boy saying our aim is promotion? Its the taking us fans for complete and utter idiots that is infuriating.
  23. Certainly can’t remember a sacking as unpopular as this one. As much as i liked Wilson the manner in which we lost the play-off final that year it did probably feel the right decision to get rid. This is unbelievable though IMO. As the dust is settling i just cannot get my head around it. Absolutely bollox is it a footballing decision and that is what is the most frustrating thing.
  24. Yup, wouldn’t surprise me if we did really struggle now. The new manager has a huge job on his hands. The players were crucially playing for Pearson, as you said this could now drop off as im sure many will be as disillusioned by the decision as we all are. It’s a right mess.
