  1. I totally agree. Martin is ageing and one dimensional with no pace. Wells is hit and miss, I criticised his effort last season so jury is out. Weimann is not a striker. So I agree. We need at least two strikers to be even close to competing for top ten. Is there a Premier league loan we can take in Jan? Hopefully we have our targets... I would be confident Nige knows we need strikers and arguably a tricky winger or two.
  2. He's 32 and played a full game 3 days ago. Not everyone is Ronaldo.
  3. Give it a few years. I know what you're saying, its frustrating, but we have a model of selling Brownhill, Reid, Webster, Bryan, Kelly etc... I think those times and the mindset is changing, I hope so tbh, I look at the contracts being given out now, I'm hoping these youngsters will now be around for their mid 20s and without Ashton its not sell sell sell.
  4. And there's our problem. We just dont have the depth. Martin is knackered, Wells (and I'm a huge critic) ran his socks off, we have no-one else. Cabt see this team getting relegated. Blood the youngsters this season, I'm looking at next season.
  5. I presume 1970 is the year you were born? If you supported city through the 80s like me, this is an absolute fantasy world we are living in now.
  6. Jesus... Ref was crap, thought we played well against probably one of the in form teams in the country. Scott was a revelation, Wells, James, Baker and Kalas looked good. A stupid mistake against Luton and one tonight have cost us. Silly errors no doubt Nige will get these out of us. A game that could've gone either way, sadly it didn't go ours, but even then, I did enjoy it. That team cares and runs and fights. Its been years since i thought that. Its a very young team, nieve in fact, but we are not a million miles off. We just don't have the options up front. Keep this squad together for a few years, with the youngsters coming through, I have no doubt this will bring us success. Breathe everyone. Remember our result against QPR, sometimes it does and will go our way.
  7. Decent for first 30, gassed at 60.
  8. He was head and shoulders best player ion the park today, and I include Sammy and his two goals in that. A great performance, what a 'signing' he is.
  9. Own goal... My word, James and Williams are an amazing partnership.
  10. Agree about the end, but until Williams was forced off, we were playing well. The two players we arguably needed tonight were Baker and Williams, them going off changed the game. I cannot fault the effort.
  11. found it for anyone else who needs it
  12. Please tell me someone still has the link of the old guy in the car predicting prem league in 5 years after the takeover???
  13. Just as a teeny shred of silver lining over a whisky tonight, big John Akinde scored 2 against the gas... that is all.
  14. I totally agree. As seemingly the only city fan to attend Downend School during the early to mid 90s - the last 18 years have been a dream...
  15. Thought we did ok. Lots of positives. Lloyd Kelly did well and Pack looked the best player on the park. On to Tuesday.
  16. At least eight of the poor blue buggers could drown their sorrows this afternoon...
  17. Shows that this team hasnt lost its fighting spirit. Nothing to get too excited about result wise, but that team don't half attack with purpose. Good fun to watch... Just felt today (again) we lacked that real quality up front to score when on top. Weimann did well and scored, but that was a game made for Fam or dare I say it Djuric.
  18. Am I the only one getting wound up by Bakers performance last 2 games?
