  1. I don't have one.

I don't have any political allegiance. I like to look at both sides of most things. In this case, I don't think you can say that he was 100% a Saint and a hero, I don't think his actions can be disputed.

His militancy cannot be disputed, no. However, much of history is about the outcome of people's actions more than the actions themselves.

People will look at how Mandela unified a nation that had been racist from top to bottom for generations and the means to which this was achieved are not given as much credence. I don't know that that is necessarily a bad thing. You can easily compare his militancy to that of the women's movement in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. At the end of the day they achieved equality for all and the means by which that was achieved is not relevant.

You find that most militant action comes after a long period of non violent attempts to change the world, when that is met with hostile oppression the only option is to 'fight back'

I think it's important to ensure that we understand the justification for violence before dismissing it as a means of protest. Revolution is a necessity in a world where politics and power often drift into the realms of authoritarianism and prejudiced beliefs dominating another people. Fighting back is often the last and only resort and without it oppressive regimes like apartheid, nazism, communism(of the modern European kind as opposed to the ideological Marxist writings) etc would have been able to stand strong for longer.

  2. Yea lets hope he has seen that we won the first half 1-0 and changes it yea, what genius!

With respect, the formation change would hint that yes, that was what was needed in the opinion of the manager.

One moment of individual brilliance does not mean our first half was acceptable. The score never tells the full story and thankfully SC seems to have addressed that for the second half.

  3. So were playing comfortably crap then yea??

it isn't that hard to understand.

We look comfortable (In that we don't look like conceding)

    We aren't playing well.

The reason for our comfort, therefore, is not due to us but the weakness of the opposition.

Second half, we look much better.

  4. The person I disagree with who knew SOD wouldnt work out and called it months before it happened and got called an idiot in the process?

We tried to move it out of the defence? no we passed it between them then hoofed it out. The more you talk about football the more it scares me how little you know and how ******* stupid you are

    "this is painful"

    **** off.

  5. Cut it out you ******* person I disagree with. Anti football? do you just read things that journos say and use it as gospel?

Your that type of ******** that reads Inverting the Pyramid and think they know everything about football.

No idea what you're talking about. I take you back to your first post on this thread. "this is painful"

I agreed. It is, and it will remain painful as this is not an enjoyable style to watch. I've heard enough people say "it's not different to SOD" and that leads me to think that nobody actually watches the games... We at least tried to move it out of defence before, the instinct wasn't to immediately thump it. Our issue was a lack of movement in midfield and it was starting to come together (Not results, but the way we were playing)

Now we're back to square one.

And let's be honest here, pal. You're the biggest person I disagree with on this forum.

  6. So your moaning about us playing crap, then all of a sudden we are comfortable??

Make your mind up. We can only beat what is in front of us and so far we are doing just that!

Never said anything about playing crap. Playing a crap, ineffective brand of anti-football yes. Play this way against a real team we will get murdered.

We should be passing it around a side like Tamworth. All day long.

  7. What are we moaning about already??

They haven't done anything of note, we have been comfortable. Only problem we have had is the more physical stuff. Keep it tight until the second half where the fitness and quality should show through. Jesus were people expecting him to come in and get us hitting teams for double figures!!

The reason we are comfortable is because they are ******* Tamworth. Cloggers and pensioners galore.

Without JET we are absolutely nothing at all.

  8. If Holloway was ever accepted City manager I would not only give up on this club, but with football in general.

If somebody like that could be welcomed in and cheered by the Ashton Gate crowd, then football as I know it would be dead. While we're at it, why don't change our kit to Pink and Yellow spots and go and play in Cornwall. Because at the end of the day nothing really matters does it?

What do we stand for as a club? Because if Holloway could ever be our manager, then I would argue we stand for absolutely nothing. I simply do not understand what the people that want him here see in football in the same way I will never understand Cardiff fans that are happy to play in red.

There are plenty of candidates for this job that I don't like and/or think are poor managers, but should they be named I would be fully behind them. But not him. Never.

I'm adding Warnock and Cloggerill to your list of one.

I've never felt so disillusioned with BCFC as I do now and that's not helped by JL's insistence that an intangible attribute like 'passion' is at the top of his priorities for the manager...

If they get this wrong it's gonna take something odd to happen for me to feel the same way about the club and those destroying running it.

  9. He also made videos about how much he doesn't like us and has been quoted in the press as saying that managing us would be "selling his soul to the devil".

People's support of Holloway as our new manager is a representation of everything that's wrong with modern football. **** the tribalism, **** the history, who's going to get us to the Premier League quickest

    Bang on.

There is more to football than quick fixes.

  10. We all hate the winker we know that but why not give him a go.

He cant do any worse than the last 3 managers.

and the ones who say they wont go any more bye bye.

Why not? Because it would tear the support in half, costing the club millions.

It defeats the entire object of real football. Rivalries, banter, tribalism.

He's an embarrassment to our city.
