  1. Pring needs a run of games now as dasilva is utterly incapable of being productive in the final third and has been poor in this respect for a long time now.

second half has a prime example where he was put through on the overlap and was indecisive and ends up lifting it to the back post with no one to go and attack it.

Also we need to go back to wells and Conway as semenyo looks to be going through the motions. Offered next to nothing yesterday

    I'll bite.

Jay is probably my most disappointing player the last handful of games.

He's constantly targeted and does OK, but going forward I cannot remember the last time I saw him actually beat a man.

And his crossing and end product is farcical, never beats the first or second man, any shot from outside the box is a conversion, every time.

The only metric he beats Pring in is passing and ball control. But every other metric (pace, crossing), I'd rather have Cam.

Someone can feel free to correct me, as I may be spouting rubbish, but his end product is rubbish.

Isn't it something like 8 assists in four years?

    Very well put.

For the amount of time in good positions per game jay gets into his output is abysmal.

He will regularly end up in space with time to either shoot at goal or try to pick out a man but I’ve given up even getting up from my seat as you just know it’s going to be a pathetic attempt.

For me he’s had enough time now and under three managers he has not improved. We need to invest time into cam now as I feel he has the greater potential of the two and no doubt less expensive

  3. I think mentality is part of it, however the cold reality is numerous players simply aren’t good enough.

O Leary would not get near a starting place in another championship side

Vyner whilst much improved this season is not someone you’d look to bring in to build a defence at this level

Dasilva has good close ball control but cannot deliver a quality cross with any regularity and can’t shoot.

Going back to the original point though the inability to deal with the direct sides has been an issue for years ever since the LJ days and we haven’t exactly brought in many players since then that are up for a scrap and mix it up in the niggly games and so we go round and round getting done by the most basic tactics. It’s gone beyond frustrating now

  4. How many unforced errors and goals conceded are we prepared to accept before he gets dropped or moved to a different position?

He just can’t help himself taking stupid unnecessary risks

would much rather klose with Atkinson and vyner

For all the flak vyner gets he’s looked way more solid than Naismith so far

I'm pretty sure that the game you refer to was NOT his first full season, but the (less than) half season when he took over from Cotts, where we were in the relegation zone and heading for an immediate return back down to League 1, before he guided us back to safety (with a little help from Pembo in the first instance).

It would be more accurate to suggest that a lot have forgotten just how dire the first half of our first Championship season was under Cotts!!!!

Love him, like him, dislike him or hate him, we NEVER looked like relegation after that under LJs tenure - in fact, I don't think we ever dropped into the bottom 3.

Whatever one's opinion is of LJ, our final league position improved EVERY season year on year under his tenure until his sacking. The league table doesn't lie.

I thought LJs first FULL season wasn't that bad really - just the frustration of falling away towards the end - which became something of a trademark of his.

Nope his first full season we survived on the penultimate game by winning away at Brighton.

The first full season we started well results wise but had to come back from behind virtually every week then the wheels fell off.

Same season we had the famous interview with SL refusing to sack him for a horrendous run basically saying it’s my toy I put more money in.

The following seasons cup exploits have really clouded peoples memory as that first full season was an absolute shambles

To be fair that’s incredibly selective.

He inherited a side who were already in a relegation scrap and left them in mid table, with some highs and lows along the way. Yes financially him (but mainly Ashton) screwed us over, but positionally we haven’t seen anything better than under LJ as a club since his dad, 13 years ago

I think he was referring to the Tammy season where we survived the game before last day of the season.

I think a lot have forgotten just a how dire LJ’s first full season was

I think we'll struggle to get anybody better than the 2 keepers we already have. We could do with another commanding CB like Baker that's our main weakness against teams with tall strikers at the moment.

    Strongly disagree

by virtue of the position there are always keepers looking for game time and if we cannot find at least one keeper to come in who has better leadership and command of the box than our current selection then our scouting must by non existent

  8. Extremely irritating result which sums up where we are at this time

we are starting to consistently play well and some of the kids are shining

That said you cannot avoid the obvious and that is max is absolutely not good enough for this level, and the constant rabbit in headlights on the goal line moments are just way too common and a clear deficiency in his game

  9. All well and good changing manager but some unbelievably still can’t see the obvious...the players are absolutely sh*t.

A mismatch of mentally weak or never were good enough ‘footballers’ assembled under the previous regime as they would be subservient to the owners vanity manager and we now are left with this shambles.

Plus look at the track record in our owners choices....

Not much, most of it went on the stadium and I don't hear anyone complaining about that. The trouble is we don't get enough income to pay Championship wages, that's why SL has to subsidise the club every season.

I don’t buy that look at the squad wilder assembled to take Sheffield Utd up?

Also look at Coventry and Blackpool this year there’s no way their wages and fees come anywhere near ours.

we have overspent like kids in a sweet shop on absolute litter we fans are suffering but the club are frankly getting what it deserves
