They, Malta that is,  were WAY better than any of us expected. Every time I thought they'd break down they didn't. They also got themselves up the pitch really well. Yes we lacked creativity and yes it should have been 4-0 but fair play to them.

I would have had Palmer on from the start perhaps.

They have every right not to renew his contract, such is life,  but he seemed most annoyed that he couldn't get any clarity on his situation and, in retrospect,  his statements and interviews may well have been designed to force Sls hand.
