Sinckler doesn't seem to be the guy he was right now. Hopefully he'll rediscover some form in France. Good for Bristol to get a high earner off the books. Frees up space elsewhere.

He's been really good and we always look much weaker without him in the team.

Yeah, it's almost as if he's shite and we know we've made a huge mistake but can't quite bring ourselves to admit it. . .

They have a record of making mistakes and not acknowledging them.

They also decide to undo the occasional good decision by making a bad one.

The more I think about it the more a new owner really wouldn't have to do too much other than employ people who know what they’re doing.

As you can imagine, I respectfully disagree - strongly.

I think (know) a large part of the reason they got rid of Nige was his inflexibility and rigidity.

They certainly don't have to worry about that with Manning.

It's back to Jon playing Championship Manager with his mates and Tinnion back as close as he'll ever get to the hot seat.

    Depressing.

All good leaders know when to be inflexible and rigid and know when to be adaptable.

I rather suspect Nige wasn't having their attempts to control him as he knew it would lead to regression.

It was a power play he lost but he'd rather lose it and get sacked than carry on weakened.

If I’m being charitable, then what I’d say is that this has been in the pipeline for a while and maybe it’s a case that Zak wanted to design some “swag” and the club offered to act as distributor. I can’t see many biting at £35 for a T Shirt though and it looks - because it is - tinpot. Highly likely that they had to release it because stock would have been on order for a while and had they waited until a time the club looked competent Zak would be long retired.

What is noticeable both with this and the interminably shite “Watches of Bath Jenga Challenge” (also produced by Fever Pitch) is that it is social media content.

But there is still no content or sign, or celebration, of number of season tickets sold. Funny that.

Watches of Bath sponsor Bristol Bears.  A complete ****ing insult.

That’s good. It’s obvious that Walker and almost definitely Maguire will be in the squad, so makes sense to try Lewis. He’s got great potential so would rather have him in the squad ahead of lots of the filler players Southgate insists on calling up.

I see the Trafford the Burnley keeper has been bought in too, who they signed from Man City. Being at Burnley will skew it a bit, but he’s supposed to be very good isn’t he?

Under 21 keeper in euros last year

Don't know anything about our women's team or the WSL but thinking of dragging daughter along for a game or two.

A couple of silly questions if no-one minds:

Is our women's team suffering from a lack of investing, poor recruitment, coaching or what? Obviously they're pretty much adrift at the moment so something is not quite ideal.

Does the women's game have anything like FFP?

    It's investment.  Pure and simple

It was a game against an elite team where we narrowly lose it. Southgate’s subs then don’t make any difference.

All sounds too familiar previously at tournaments.

A lot of the subs were planned to give players on the periphery a chance and most flunked it. DUNK, Gomez and Konsa are not doing it for me as elite defenders.

That’s disappointing. You’d have thought a local derby would be a priority game.

The selection of games has been beyond weird this season.  They're choosing Newcastle v Leicester instead of Northampton v Saracens next Friday.

I think JP spoke a lot of truth last night when he said the club want to achieve promotion in a pure way.

They want purity and that wouldn't be the case if NP got us promotion.

Because rightfully NP would have got the plaudits. They didn't like that, thats not purity in their eyes.

This obsession with purity is bloody bizarre.

But that purity reason was one of the reasons he was sacked.

Boogles the mind that they knew he could get us promoted but didn't want us to get promoted with him in charge. My brain can't figure out that mentality.

It's not difficult mate. It's jealousy.

The equivalent of taking your ball home from a kick about in the park because one of your mates is better than you.

Dont know what kind of world you live in; poor win ratio, leaves the club after 30 months without the ability to score goals, during his best season with W-S-M up front (none of whom he recruited) he coached us to concede 77 goals - that is seventy seven.

Fans might sing; "you stole a wage, you stole a wage"

    **** off Brian

Won't be just us either. This TV deal could end up hurting attendances at Championship football far more than they could have imagined.

    They don't care.

Should drop down to a 22 team division anyway.  That would remove 4 of these evening games

I'm in the same camp as you, very aware I'm in a small minority, willing to give manning the summer, however the negativity is something I can't recall for a long time, sadly its just the way the world is these days.

It's fans sussing out the owners and their minions and realising that they don't know what they’re doing or, if they do, that they don't want the club to be successful just saleable.

Take off 1000-1500 away fans off that and the numbers will be terrible. The only way Rotherham gets even a semi-respectable turnout is if we end up being so bad up to that point that we genuinely NEED the points!! Could literally be 11-12K in there for that one if there's nothing to play for. In fact if Manning is still in-situ it might be less than that because some will take the view "what other way of protest is there?".

Imagine next season home to Blackburn. Wednesday night, being streamed live on sky opposite Champions league.

Will be down 10,000 in the actual ground.

Bit naive if u expected improvements so quickly. James/twine being out is a huge miss and that needs to be factored in. Can I ask how long it took Nige to improve the 'underlying stuff?'

The underlying stuff was sorted out. Manning didn't need to sort out the basics.

in fact we've got worse at them

Goals this season against Liverpool, Villa, Newcastle, Burnley (home & away) & a double tonight against Luton.

One thing that’s for certain is he won’t be “back in the Championship” next season.

I actually think we miss him more than Scott, best of luck to the lad.

    100%.

He properly scared defenders. Especially when he had Martin backing into one CB and Weimann running off the pair of them.

    True.

Although maybe we will still get SAG and Rugby changes on top! 😮😮😮

I don't think so. Think there has to be a minimum number of games at 3pm Saturday.

They will probably publish initial fixtures then once Rugby Union and league (Hull) fixtures are known and clubs and Police forces have been asked will move games.

Can't believe Sky will be too precious about particular games.  Derby matches are guaranteed to be chosen

    Think you’ll be left with:

    23 home games starting point.

    5 midweek games.

    That leaves 18.

First game and last games likely to be moved as theirs televising each game, so can’t be 3pm according to blackout.

That leaves 17 as you’ll only be home one of those 2 games.

Then Boxing Day and New Year plus Easter (x2) are being televised, so 2 out of 4 will be moved.

That leaves 15 on Saturday at 3pm, of which 5/12 on average will be moved, say 6.

That leaves 9 Saturday 3pm games.

Happy for others to query the maths.

So, this season we've had 4 midweek home games, 2 bank holiday games leaving 17 weekend games left.

the Preston home game would have been streamed live which means we had 16 'standard' home games, 32 overall.

So, the Average games moved per team = 5x32/12= 13.333.

Each team is guaranteed 23 games apparently so the minimum moved is 9, maximum could be loads for the likes of Leeds etc.

Now, thinking about this season, we had 5 games moved for various reasons.

    Leeds -Sky

    Swansea- clash with Rovers/police

    Cardiff - Police

    Hull - commercial/ scheduling reasons

    Norwich - clash with Rugby

Now, I'm presuming Sky will be less precious about when games are played and which ones are chosen as it's 5 per week with 3 of these streamed rather than being in the TV.   I imagine that everyone of those 5  would have been covered under the new deal anyhow if the kick off had to be moved anyway.

Basically, my point is we are already messed about and in reality won't see too much of a difference.
