Interesting to compare this season to 2 seasons ago. We've got the same points but the underlying performance is relegation form. Scored 11 less , conceded 2 more. People forget how lucky we were to win a number of games that season. We were utter dogshit in reality and Holden was sacked shortly after when things inevitably unravelled.

Ian Gay knows sod all about football part 7,432

Cam Pring was banned for West Brom due to 2 yellows vs Swansea in the cup -
Trust me it was completely inappropriate. No person was in danger. A kid ran on a football pitch to ask for a player's shirt and it was treated like he'd assaulted someone.
-
Obvious isn't it?

It isn't always about winning the ball in the air. I thought he made an impact on their 2 CBs. They had been used to Wells running in behind and Cornick went up against them physically. This meant that we subsequently pressed better than before as they weren't able to clear their lines. Pure guesswork on my part, but his role could be to be primary nuisance with the likes of Weimann, Scott, Sykes, Bell pressing off the back of that. He's not going to be a goal machine though. Hopefully our finishing drills will result in him getting better. It wasn't a great finish to that chance yesterday

As usual the relatively unimportant part (people running on the pitch) has put the 2 main issues in the dark. 1 A grown adult manhandling a child with zero right to do so.. 2. A clear assault against 1 that should be a matter for the Police. I'd be interested in the view of anyone who works with kids. Do you just manhandle a child if they're being difficult?
-
Well I've been on the pitch with literally 1000s of other fans over the years.
-
The Somali kid was about 20. If it hadn't been for him, the incident would have been more serious. He was the only steward other than the 2 who lost the plot who reacted.
-
It's a child and clearly a child. He posed no danger. I ran on the pitch numerous times when I was younger.
-
It identified him didn't it The older short white male one and the female one were the ones involved. She was also screaming at fans outside when I arrived on kick off. Utterly pointless behaviour.
-
Did you read what I said? Man handling a child is not his job
-
Says a lot about the competence of stewards generally that he was the only steward who reacted
-
Steward should be sacked. Does not have the authority to manhandle a child. Whoever assaulted him should be banned. As for those outraged by a child running on the pitch, get a grip. We all used to it. Embarrassing from all involved

Couldn't disagree more. He was a proper nuisance. Competed for everything. We only missed Wells for the 1 on 1. Thought Wells was poor today. Played us into trouble a number of times -
Gallagher to me has already reached his ceiling. Remember watching him vs Milan in Champions League. His game awareness was really poor. Scott has miles more improvement in him. Not even close to his ceiling. Sometimes there are telltale signs

Personally I think you can only really say that Burnley and Sheffield United are operating at a consistently higher standard than us. There is no significant difference with the anyone else, based on points and results. The one defining thing about this division is the lack of consistency. Win the next 2 games and we are in the play off picture. Lose them and we're in a relegation battle.

Just drop the idea of a large stand there. Unless there is a catastrophic collapse in house prices, it would cost far too much time and money to buy that lot up. In time it is most likely that it is knocked down and a replacement put in place that connects to the rest of the ground. I suspect that will happen when the Dolman needs to be replaced. The top of it has a shelf life for certain.

Are you thinking midweek or weekend?
-
Miles better than Gallagher. Gallagher is going to be a solid Premiership pro. Scott's ceiling is way higher

Comments went straight to the Miners Strike. They really hate Nottinghamshire don't they

I always think draw as 2 points are gained by rivals rather than 3.

Man City - no, not tickets, but dodgy stuff…as if!!!

Why don't they just cut the pretence and just insist that the names of teams reflect who owns them? Abu Dhabi City and Tampa Bay United? AFC mate of Putin. Leveraged to the max FC. Pension Fund Rangers. Shadowy Chinese Albion. Powerful Agent Wanderers. -

The players would not get fed up with the fakeness of it all. They're happy to play in the fake 'Champions League' aren't they? At least calling it Super league is more factual. It will probably be super. It currently only has about a 3rd of its entrants who can claim to be Champions. -
There wasn't the additional overthought tactical drivel though
