  1. No, despite the publicity given to the mostly celebratory pitch invasion, the two worst reported incidents of actual violence on the night were the Rovers fans charging at the Williams and battling with police, and Rovers fans forcing their way through the police cordon outside to fight with City fans. On both occasions Rovers fans were seen as the aggressors, and it seems likely a high percentage of those Rovers fans arrested were due to involvement in these serious incidents.
  2. Slightly different, but potentially very significantly different. The wording of their statement leaves the way open for Rovers to in fact issue no life bans at all if they don't feel it 'appropriate', whereas City seem to be stating that life bans will be the inevitable outcome for convicted City fans. You said it.
  3. Slight difference in tone between the statements from the 2 clubs. City statement: 'Anyone found guilt of these offences... can expect a lifetime ban from Ashton Gate.' Rovers statement: 'If those arrested are found guilty, life time banning orders will be considered if appropriate'.
  4. The club has issued lifetime bans to 33 fans convicted after the Cardiff match. Haven't heard that before.
  5. Maybe, but the RB reporter accompanying the police is so far reporting on raids in South Bristol. Total arrests for the match now 'over 50', including 21 so far this morning.
  6. Had this the other day: http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/157932-bristol-city-third-best-supported-team-in-the-country195859/
  7. GOOD ANSWER BUT IT'S NOT RIGHT. SAY WHAT YOU SEE. Shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted.
  8. Your Dad was right Dorset, you can have great games, and great memories, in any division - Chester away to clinch promotion from the 4th remains one of my all time favourite City games. As are Arsenal, Coventry etc., but I remember all too well how many dull 1-0 home defeats we suffered to the likes of Leicester, Middlesbro', Ipswich etc. in the top flight too. I'm fully expecting to enjoy supporting City far more next season than the last 3 in the Championship - the division we're in isn't all important, it's always going to be temporary one way or another. What is vital right now is disillusioned BCFC fans are given a team we can take pride in that makes going to AG enjoyable again.
  9. Hollowhead is a City hating buffoon. He 'cares about our plight' in the same way any City hating gashead cares about it - he'll be laughing his hollow, skeletal head off!!
  10. Idiots? Good call from Ted, first visit to Ewood since 1967 and he still can't find the 4,000 holes. Bristol Boy didn't seem too worried but he was brutally cut short for live GJ interview anyway.
  11. Blackburn beat us easily a few weeks ago without playing well themselves, and unfortunately it sounded very similar today.
  12. Hoskin seemingly ecstatic to bring us news of late Brum winner.
  13. Marvin's taken a late blow to the head - our friend Kazim - Richards no doubt.
  14. Corner to Blackburn............we haven't exactly piled on the pressure.
  15. Maybe, obviously haven't seen either goal. Didn't sound like he brushed Wilson aside to me though, he stole a march on JW and his last ditch tackle was just too late. No idea either which City player gave Rhodes time and space for the first goal, but it all sounded incredibly easy for him.
  16. Wasn't Carey on the pitch for the first goal? Both sounded all too easy for Rhodes.
  17. Marvin writhing with pain after Kazim -Richards stamps on him while on the ground. Kazim - Richards booked, at last. Marvin up again and giving K-R the evil eye.
  18. Marvin Elliot leaps.................... into the arms of the goalkeeper. Good commentating, Elliot header saved, anyway.
