Hull City away match day thread
City1970 replied to Curr Avon's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
I agree. Last season we lost god how many points from winning positions. Today is the first 3 points lost from a winning position. We need to score more goals when on top, like the first 30 minutes today. -
Not with our current ownership

I agree, you are not safe until you are mathematically safe. However, in statistical terms, the probability of Barnsley overtaking us is extremely low.
-
Realistically we are safe but not mathematically. Barnsley have won 6 in 40. Now they need to win 6 in 6 or 5 and a draw and hope for a better goal difference to overtake us. Not going to happen.

The good old days.

Great bloke is Mike. Mike managed the fitness club in the evenings at Ashton Gate until Gary Johnson shut it down. Mike had time for everyone, just a top guy.

Or will be far enough into the season for injuries to take their toll. It seems injuries are more common now than they used to be.

We had proper hard men back in the day with the likes of Gow and Hunter. Unfortunately football is now for the softies.

Agree, Barnsley defended with desire and commitment. Unfortunately we have been really poor both individually and collectively. -
I was in there last Saturday and thought it had a good vibe. The price of my Thatchers was what I expected and still a lot cheaper than the Thatchers that is poured way in advance in the ground.

please don't let the game finish 2-2

I expect some of the legends that were there on Saturday can think of one. -

Well done the club, especially Scott Davison for organising a fantastic tribute to 8 selfless players. well done City for a fabulous team performance. There was passion, commitment and desire to beat an in form Boro. I could not have asked for more. Well done for a great atmosphere. -

I remember it well. That was a time in history when 8 players put the club first. We are now in a period of time when players are out and out greedy with no sign of loyalty whatsoever. Its a shame it has taken an age for these selfless 8 be recognised. I hope the current crop can show passion, commitment and desire to get a win against an in form Boro. -
Good shout, but Louie Donowa scored a perfect goal on a perfect night for many City faithful ?

I like your optimism ?CTID
-
I hope you are right. I have been a City fan for 52 years. I have seen a lot of ups and downs but 34 points is something I have not seen to survive.
-
8 points is optimist , I think it will be more.

I don’t agree with the Pearson out brigade. I have seen improvement recently, particularly with the younger element such as Scott, Massengo, Semenyo etc. I can’t say the same for the experience players who are letting us down. If we are to escape relegation, I think it will be closer than people think. Hopefully between now and the end of the season, there will be more ups than downs.
