I remember a cock up with the Preston keeper and his defence and McCarthy stroked the ball in, but we conceded almost straight away. I also remember it was crazy with City supporters in fancy dress in the crappy stand on the side.

Thanks for the update, I didn’t realise McCarthy had personal loss to deal with, I’m sorry for that. what I do remember, is that I was at that Preston game. If I can’t remember the facts, it’s time for me to leave this forum.

It appears I got it all wrong. That must be the season we lost at Preston and Watford won at Fulham on the final day to be champions. My memory is not what it was.

Because he foolishly believed in a rookie manager who did not reinvest wisely from the sales of Kodjia, Webster, Reid, Bryan, Kelly etc. assuming he was allowed. He then brings in a proven manager who do not get substantial funds to invest. It reminds me of a certain chairman who allowed the sale of Goater to Man City when in pole position for promotion and then bought McCarthy to get us over the line but failed. Should have kept Goater.

I think Williams contributed to a much improved display by Callum O’Dowda today. He was looking for him at every opportunity which was good to see. Lets hope Williams stays fit and helps others like he helped O’Dowda today.

I believe he is our best player by a country mile, but it appears a lot of people believe we have the best keeper in the league.

The board are the problem in my eyes. They back a novice but don’t back someone with a proven record. Most of the players are just not good enough at Championship level. The whole club is in a mess.

Pearson was giving him a lot of stick in the 2nd half. I think it is good for his development because he was drifting out of position at times. I like Tanner,Pring and Scott. I believe they will develop into very good players.

It’s up to clubs like City to close the gap. Fulham, Brighton, Bournemouth and Brentford were not given the payments, they earned it as clubs. City need to learn from their experience.

If you watch the games you will see our strikers miss countless sitters. I agree the service could be better, but when the chances come, our strikers miss sitters. Scott against forest is prime example. Forget about giving abuse to people who have a different view and concentrate on valid debates.
