And not one iota of proof that the family - apart from Wael who you presumably admit is worth less than £100m - "are billionaires".

"No one knows exactly how much" eh?

Hmmmmm convenient that. No one apart from you and various other methane inhalers seems to know: not Forbes or the Sunday Times rich list.

They have managed to become vastly wealthy by part owning a small bank in one of the Middle East's poorest countries. Oh and a couple of hotels.

Pipe dreams RR,theres no doubt the the family have a few bob between them, but and its a big but, have they borrowed against their investments,no body will ever know so this billionaire tag is very suspect,as you say there is no mention on the net  anywhere that this family have that much wealth, also you can search until the cows come home that the family are really involved with Wael in this venture, when i see his name on the rich lists i say fair enough, good luck to them but the snorters are prematurely spouting  their usual crap, gob shut and wait and see me thinks.

what a funny lot you are, i post sensible thread and you go all aggressive on me.

All this denial stuff, i spent pre season telling my city mates that you had no chance of a play off place, and they, like many on this board seemed to

be in a parallel universe.   Then there are the "Brendan Rogers", "moyes" managerial posts.  Seriously!!!

Anyway - Rovers owners value. It wasnt bought by Waed, it was bought by his family who are Billionaires.  How much is he worth, i dont know,

but your missing the point.  Look at Swansea, Leicester, the structure of the club is far more important.

If i was a city fan i would be quite pleased, any chance of lansdown sitting on his laurels, or maybe concentrating more on the rugby, have probably taken a turn.

I think City will progress more with Rovers playing catch up, and visa versa.

    All the best...

Really !! you really should name them, those family members with a financial interest in the 15ers.

Using facts, can you explain to me what is actually happening for the greater good?

Based on everything I've read I'm yet to be convinced that this bloke is a better option than Higgs.

I had never considered that. I'm not sure it's the most likely thing in the world, but then again, it's a possibility.

I'm genuinely not sure how I'd feel about it.

    And where would they go?

    interesting point

Nice little place a short hop over the channel, full of tents, containers, loads of arabs, home from home.

There is something very odd about the Sag takeover.  It's not as if the UWE was an initial draw for the takeover - Sainsbury's and the legal case have made that a coin flip - so he hasn't come for that.  His team have already said that he had looked at other league 1/2 teams.  This process must have been very recent - 6 months ago the Sags were non league.  So why the Sags, why now?

Its very strange.  Although I do think Piggs has played a blinder.

I think your right,i recon they got more chance of keeping their arses intact at a Michael Barrymore pool party than with this fella.

  8. The club will now be looking to recruit a new head coach.

Dawe added: “I thank Steve Cotterill for all his efforts over the last two seasons. Sadly we haven’t managed to push on from last season and the time has come for us to all move forward.

The club’s aspiration is to ultimately become a Premier League club and this decision has been made to achieve our overall strategy for growth and player development.”

Yes we hear you..now stop faffing about and give Moyes what he wants to sort this merry go round of mediocrity out.
