They release a story like this every couple of months. "negotiations ongoing" "progress being made". Why are they still in negotiations - if Sainsburys had paid up years ago they would have started immediately. Why not now? Sounds a lot like bluster and bluff to me.
My opinion for what its worth, Clarke will go for talks and decide not to leave. Then come back with guff about how Rovers are a bigger club, more ambitious, bigger potential, premiership bound etc.. etc.
Anybody would think its rocket science. There must be an official club page (or similar) which will show how many they sold. Hint: its just over 27,000. not the 32/33,000 they'd have you believe.
He's not looking for a long term gig. Relegation firefighter is his calling now; 9 months a year off and then come in for March, April and May and pick up a nice sum for keeping someone up.
