  1. Well done to the club, Jerry and everyone else who played a part in this.
  2. Cost of living crisis? What cost of living crisis?
  3. Actually laughed out loud at that. Thanks - I needed that!
  4. There's a bit of the "we've got the ball" chant here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNJhnm9iqXQ&ab_channel=RobinsonTour
  5. LM quotes from the Post: “I believe in the lads. It’s a bit of belief, a bit of edge, a bit of arrogance that will change it. We’ve won games already against teams at the top end of the table, so we’ve shown we can do it and we showed today and against Ipswich, for 90 per cent of the game, we’re as good if not better than the opposition. It’s now making sure when you’re on top, and you get your opportunities in key stages of the game that you get what you deserve.” “I can’t control what the fans think. For me, it’s around sticking together. If players stepped onto the pitch and showed no idea of what they’re trying to do, no plan, no identity, no way of working… then by all means (criticise). “I don’t waste on energy on it, to be honest, I can control what I can control. I turn up and do my best every day, that’s it, the staff give the players everything, we’re in at 7, we finish at 7 - I think you can see the plan out on the pitch, what we do need is people to step up at key times and that’s the bit we’ll work hard to change and I don’t worry too much about outcomes, I’ve never chased outcomes. "For me, I concentrate on doing the best job every day. I know the work we do is good, it’s about making sure we get the players in position where they’re making sure they can do it for 100 per cent of the game and not 90.” https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/liam-manning-denies-bristol-citys-9170778 Staggering.
  6. He seems to want his team to embody himself. Dogs embody their owner. Our team are now embodying him - bland, emotionless, uninspiring.
  7. It was a problem with both teams having white socks.
  8. The non-availability of games selected for international broadcast was highlighted in the information put out at the start of the season and is included within the Terms and Conditions. It was your choice to purchase based on the published details and Terms and Conditions so I don't see why any reasonable person would expect a refund.
  9. None of that makes any sense when you live in reality.
  10. It was taken on February 27th.
  11. Would be interesting to know who approves/arranges media activity at present. Dave Barton has been moved "upstairs" to Bristol Sport leaving what would appear to be quite a youthful media team at the club itself. Perhaps DB is still filling the role while his replacement is recruited?
  12. Man uses industry term in message aimed at those in the industry. The horror of it.
  13. Hope they've run that past PC @Robbored, head of licensing policy for the area.
  14. To answer those who asked: yes, Liam Manning was there in the directors box - as was Chris Hogg, Pat Mountain, Jon Lansdown and Marina Dolman amongst others.
  15. Not sure what you expect on a football talk show? Debate on whether Liam Manning puts his cereal or milk in the bowl first?
  16. Police request was the reason given last summer. https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/swansea-home-clash-moved/ I'm guessing that Rovers v Derby County (and a likely full away following) played some part in that.
  17. I know it makes little difference either way but if the youth players can't be included because of their own schedules or they're just not good enough, why not at least put Lewis Thomas on the bench? Yes, the chance of needing a third keeper in a game in infinitely low but to choose to limit yourselves when you have an empty seat and he's there and taking part in the warmup seems peculiar.
  18. Dogs resemble their owners. Football teams resemble their manager/coach. Our team has about as much character/identity as a blank piece of paper right now.
  19. They were sent out in mid January - I got mine on the 17th.
