  1. There's probably a reason he peaked in English football at Torquay and wasn't overly loved at Port Vale.
  2. But how does something become "accepted" as "the norm" when it isn't absolute adherence to the laws to which they have to adhere? Not that my opinion counts for much (I doubt the EFL, PGMOL, IFAB et al could care for it at all) but it all sounds a bit perverse to me. If the authorities don't believe in the wording of the Laws, why don't they rewrite them rather than change them via some backroom nudge and a wink agreement?
  3. Always good to get answers from actual lived experiences! That said, I don't see anything wooly in the Laws of the Game wording yet it feels like there's more chance of seeing Pele riding a unicorn during an EFL match than a goalkeeper being penalised for it.
  4. If they HAVE to adhere to the laws of the game, why are goalkeepers not routinely penalised for committing the offence of "controls the ball with the hand/arm for more than six seconds before releasing it"?
  5. There's a bit of a Gary Johnson link there too. Top shift from him today.
  6. The only person who seems to see being willfully ignorant as a badge of honour.
  7. Not sure being disqualified for fielding an ineligible player would really count as a win though.
  8. Krauhaus to Brentford has already been signed and sealed. https://www.brentfordfc.com/en/news/article/brentford-b-team-ben-krauhaus-bromley-brentford-transfer
  9. Based on your pattern of rewriting history, not seeing and not hearing things, I wouldn't bank on you knowing what happened.
  10. 3,000,000 Leeds fans? Blimey.
  11. Good question - there was previously leeway for "local promotions" in the EFL rules which allowed home fans to be charged less for (I think) 3 games per season but it now says that "There are no Local Promotions permitted under the Regulation as per previous seasons". See 35.3.11 - https://www.efl.com/governance/regulations/
  12. They've had to slash prices for tomorrow too in order to meet the 75% requirement for a test event... https://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/20242/january/10-tickets-v-exeter/
  13. So what would warrant a coaching contract in your eyes? When someone suggested a coaching contract, you asked for his coaching credentials. Then dismissed his badges for a lack of "track record". Then say you're not against people starting out in their coaching career getting an opportunity. It sounds like a concoction of requirements that would stop anyone starting a coaching career and stop anyone building a track record (which you seem to see as an essential requirement).
  14. So essentially you're just against giving people with no or limited experience to date an opportunity?
  15. He has his UEFA A & B coaching certificates.
  16. No guarantee that the game wouldn't be on Friday if the rugby wasn't at AG. They spread the FA Cup games up across quite a number of timeslots even if they aren't being televised in the UK.
  17. Another rewriting of history by @Robbored.
  18. Cheeky little scamps had the cheek to actually apply the booking fee this time. I am outraged I tell you.
  19. The great Met Office conspiracy against the famous and prowed quarters.
  20. Pretty much - can't see anything that suggests it's being broadcast anywhere in the world.
