  1. Your account been hacked by Henbury Gas by any chance?
  2. A link between IS and Rovers? That's not been proven.....
  3. So, SL, a self made billionaire off the back of a career in financial and investment services is apparently unaware of feasibility studies, financial sustainability and succession planning. There's me thinking that investing his millions into the ground, infrastructure, management, training facilities would allow the club to slowly but surely become financially sustainable through success on the field and daily, weekly income streams off it. It's remarkable....nay, staggering that SL did not take a leaf out of the book of the Dunford/Higgs/Al Qadis school of financial management where such shrewd financial decisions has meant; not owning a home since 1986 before screwing the local rugby club out of their ground, treating said rugby club so poorly that they ultimately move out of the mem, losing the sags valuable income streams, selling several players on multi-million pound deals during 80/90s yet the club record fee paid out of £400k was 25 years ago, where did all that money go?, allowing the club to get relegated to non-league without a subsequent financial plan, signing up to a non-watertight contract with Sainsburys then taking Sainsburys to court over said non-watertight contract to argue at great expenses that it was water-tight, 'Surprisingly' losing the case and having to pay costs which were covered by taking out a Wonga loan, not having the financial streams to cover the loan and on-going cost of running club, going into partnership with UWE knowing that you could not be owners of the stadium, purchasing the club after being sold the "dream" before realising the previous incumbent had sold you down the river, attempting to re-negotiate with UWE and carrying out feasibility studies at great expense even though you know you cant afford it, pulling out of the only possible chance you had of a new stadium to go for the option of redeveloping the mem even though you have no asset to sell, funds to pay for it or planning in place to develop it continuing to lose money hand over fist every week, month, year as you have no income streams outside of 23 home matches I'm sure there are other gems of financial prudence from the blue few that I've forgotten about, suffice to say, yet again, they are talking out of their arse.......
  4. Jesus, the fake sheikh is pulling their trousers down before their very eyes but somehow it's all SL's fault..... http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/10482/new-beginning-2?page=16 nobbygas Gas 51 minutes ago paulpirate likes this Quote abbeygas said: knowall said: Don't hold your breath - Mr West is playing a game which will all come plain in due course. He never wanted us there and his 'mates' are in the wings. In due course we will all learn how devious they are at UWE Exactly what is bugging me. If correct who are the mates and what is the UWE masterplan? The only team that can fill a barn that big around here is Bath Rugby who have made no secret of the limitations of the Rec but would they really leave Bath? Move the thinking away from one big stadium. How about a 'complex' involving a small stadium for Women's football, and an Indoor Arena that would house Basketball, table tennis and Badminton, and that can also be used as a 'Bristol Arena' for music. Who are the mates? Well, a certain Rosy Cheeked Fecker was given an Honorary Doctorate (or something) for the financial advice he has given to the UWE, plus the UWE have recently started using the conference facilities at trashton. It's just a small step to put 2 and 2 together.
  5. Inbred.......don't forget the inbred
  6. You know things are turning to shit when the club can't even get the "Championship ready sprinklers" right........ http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/10472/defence-leakiest-thing-today
  7. "Very soon we'll try to reconvene and try to create a structure for this project to function on its own. For our legal advisors and project managers to get account of what's needed and move forward," Al-Qadi added, speaking to the club's website. How ambiguous and non-committal can you get!! A Plan B is what SL put in place which was securing active and concurrent planning permissons for both AV and AG.......as soon as AV failed, we kicked into Plan B. You my friend haven't even gone as far as sketching it out on the back of a fag packet!
  8. I'm sure this has been said many, many times on this thread previously but the level of delusion, even after the events of the last week, is absolutely staggering
  9. I believe they have already tested out their preferred option........
  10. Players - Mostly frees, cast-offs and squaddies New pitch - fairly standard practice Renovations - curtains and carpets cleaned, new canopy over door New Stand - I'm sorry, I must have missed that Imminent Training ground - I wouldn't be so certain on that....... Bought land for training ground - kicked Coalpit Heath out with little notice, surround land with fencing, not paid for fencing Darrell Clarke contract - meaningless Secured a top,top manager - who may well leave within this season UWE Stadium - kept updated - really, I thought the biggest gripe was little to no communication regarding UWE Dropped talks in interests to the club - no dropped talks because UWE are standing firm and the gas cant afford it New plans imminent - really? my understanding was there is no actual plan B......other than tarting up the mem Watches games with fans - what, once? and for what? sags just lap this shit up is a fan himself - yes, of Chelsea Gives the club new tent - yep, you said it "This man is a legend"........yes, he will be soon.......to Bristol City fans!!
  11. Pffft...don't be surprised to see him resign if any more shit hits the fan over the coming weeks

  13. Yes, the shit has hit the fan and your club is in turmoil with rumours of more shit to come.......so what do you do? Well Henbury Gas felt it was necessary to jump onto OTIB and report back that we're in 'meltdown' over the stadium news..well, no shit Sherlock! I see our friends south of the rivers have gone into meltdown and posted 9 pages in one day all about us and i thought they did not care about us the silly little sister shaggers Still manages to bullshit....its only 8 pages to date!
  14. "But let's not forget, this board have helped take us to league 1, spent money on a training ground, dc contract, professional backroom staff, new players, some mem improvements and a new turf. We just had a pre season trip to Portugal." ooooooh.....didn't they do well
  15. 9302 v 5581......hardly a career changing move
  16. "The sensible 23-year-old Bristol Rovers fan isn't planning to fritter away his winnings." Spot the oxymoron time.......
  17. With thanks to the Sainsbury's legal team for their advice on the immaculate deception. Further auditions for the part of the 'donkey' have been cancelled as they apparently have around 25 to choose from already.
  18. Straight up the Gloucester Road, turn right at Filton avenue.....
