  1. "We can see why Bristol Rovers is one of the clubs they were interested in talking to. We have an incredible fan base which is the envy of many clubs.

This makes us an attractive proposition for potential investors."

Jesus Christ, we can see where the sags get their delusion from......straight out of the mouth of Piggsy!!
  2. serious comment- I don't doubt we will have financial hardships and those are what we are used to- but we love the club and many of us are  prepared to have a reasonable conversstion about Bristol football, just very difficult with you lot- pewrsonally I'd just love to have a derby game - miss those a lot...

You suggest want a reasonable conversation but kick it off with the ludicrous notion that you "look forward to playing you in league 1 season after next"........

  3. That's relatively polite! not here for a bitch, but look forward to playing you in league 1 season after next. You will have a shiny new stadium - we won't.

Now come on, how many times have we heard that old chestnut rolled out by you deperate sags over the past, what, 10 / 12 years? Its the only glimmer of hope for the future you have

You have sneaked promotion through the play-offs into the basement league, you will not be getting a new stadium and you will be staying at the dilapitated mem which if your lucky will get a lick of paint or maybe a new tented roof, you are in the most precarious financial position probably in your history which will only get worse once the new stadium bubble bursts and you are financing the running of the club through finance through loan sharks

If I were you, rather than concering myself with what my neigbours are doing, I'd be more concerned I had a club support the season after next!

  4. So a refund for people who bought match tickets and now can't make it. What about my ST? Will I get a refund? Of course not!

    Joke

I go away next week and return late Friday. Up until yesterday, my plan for Saturday was clear.

Now, as a seson ticket holder and due to the clubs extremely last minute change, I cant make the game and lose out.

They are willing to refund people who purchased a single match day ticket but not season ticket holders.

My final direct debit for this seasons ticket is due on the 22nd April.....maybe, at this late notice, I should cancel my Direct Debit

  5. 3 of those come under the ticket issues and its been explained why stewards check tickets, because of constant fraudulent abuse by some "supporters"

No doubt the club are far from perfect and this late fixture change is totally wrong. No question about that.

The fact that 3 of those incidents come under ticket issues on 3 seperate occasions emphasises my point that 'lessons learned' are clearly not

As for stewards checking tickets, AFAIK the club said during the season that this practice would not continue yet they are still doing it. The club again should ensure the stewards know this as its clearly an issue for many supporters, myself included.

No doubt the club are working hard behind the scenes but that should not mask the many PR disasters that have occured this season

  6. Twice I believe. Tickets and now this.

Oh, and family section in Atyeo, back in the summer.

Tickets are now sorted, although not perfect, admittedly.

Lessons definitely learn from Atyeo issues.

This late notice fixture change, through choice, should never happen again. It's not good enough.

Twice? I think your forgetting many of the fudge ups that have occured this season......

Just off the top of my head......

    The Reading friendly

    Season ticket arrivals

    New turnstile entry problems

So say fixed yet problems continued

Stewards contiuning to ask to see tickets

    Notts County re-arrangement

Dont get me wrong, I'm not one to openly have pop at the club but to say there has been only two occurences this season where the club has got it spectacularly wrong is being too kind. The club really have to look at their decision making, customer service and communication policies following this season especially as we are going into two season where there will be a huge amount of disruption

  7. Another update: the noises I'm hearing seem to suggest that Roverzzz are confident this JR will be chucked out and they'll be on site in the spring some time. Could mean UWE bowl ready for 2015/16 season, same time as new EE will be ready...

They were also confident there wouldn't be a JR lodged but there was................

  8. From the Posh forum: "Who'd be a Bristol City fan. Front three Barnett, Baldock and JET. Is it possible to get three worse attitudes?"

    Baldock?

Yea, three players with a combination of 37 goals between them so far this season (30 of them in a struggling team), more than the whole of the Peterborough team....bummer

  9. taken from twitter:

shit if you want to play good football, perfect for hoofball. Slow and lazy.

On his day he looks a quality player, when its not his day then he can be bloody awful

I can't believe my eyes, people want TYRONE BARNETT at their club, hahaha!

    :pinch:

Pretty much the same was said about JET

  10.

The capacity issue of 26,500 - my understanding is away fans will be given the entire Atyeo (5,500 capacity) so surely not much segregation will be needed. 500 seats tops maybe? Then consider that if safe standing is allowed that will be a few hundred (in addition to the 26,500) added to the capacity.

The away fans will be moved to the Ateyo which is the only unconnected stand so will not require segregation/loss of seats.

That said, dependant on the away team/following, part of the stand can be broken up so that one end can be used potentially for "family" seating and if so, segregation would be required

  11. Its amazing how almost every thread somehow degenerates into a dig or swipe at the city regardless of the topic. They deflect all their own failings on and off the pitch towards us to try and perpetuate this myth they are something special or different to us and any other fans.

Nobody at the moment knows who is behind this JR application but without any knowledge or evidence they are pushing the usual "sheeds" line. Maybe just maybe somebody has a legimate claim and is not happy with how the process was carried out. Unfortunately, it's too easy for them to ignore that and vent their long standing bitterness and anger towards us

  12. You should read some of the crap being spouted on their forum. This situation may come to nothing but they are so in denial and desperate to try and deflect their frustrations.......

    I quote.....

"I find it hard to believe that this was started by local Horfield Nimbys or due to the incompetence of BCC. Sainsbury's and other supermarket chains build their stores all the time without too many problems. This is hardly a new build in an historic controversial area.

Far more likely in my opinion that this has been started by people with a vested interest in seeing our club lose their new stadium, and we can all imagine who those people might be. I'm seeing Red about this."

    Unquote

So building on a war memorial is not an "historic, controversial area"???

We have our own stadium issues to deal with and they seriously think SL or city related people are behind this!
