  1. Not really, a dull game against a poor team, not that much to get excited about. But we all take out what we want from football, so if an end of season dead rubber match against a very poor team very much pleases you, then I’m happy for you. Being top of the performance league when we are very much a mid table team with nothing much to play for is not quite the achievement as you think, if we are in that position 12 games into next season then I’d share your excitement. Top 4th or 5th defensive team over the entire season is something more to be enthused over and bodes well for next year, as little will need to be done to the defensive unit. I fail to see why my and others highlighting that Rotherham were very poor should be quite the emotive trigger for you, other than it pointing towards an individual who is often contrary, needlessly argumentative and childishly patronising if anyone dares to take a view different to theirs, so much so it suggests that it is a deliberate activity for their own pleasure rather than reasoned discussion. I think my emotion towards you edges more towards sympathy than “hurtin”. Best of luck to you my friend and enjoy your summer.
  2. Could be one of those where player wants to leave but Burnley under no obligation to sell and with parachute payments under no pressure financially. I suspect this one may go through towards the end of the window, leaving him a couple of months to get up to speed. Useful player but no Jacki Dziekanowski (age being firmly shown)
  3. Want a ******* poppy??? Rotherham were dogshite, but you’ve got to beat what was in front of you, and that was successful. Today was not a game where they’ll be a 25th anniversary celebration or a special shirt. Professional performance against a very poor team that was all.
  4. Not a criticism nor a slight at Manning, merely an observation on Rotherham. Countered with the fact we were playing some good stuff. Not sure of the need to be quite so fractious and take umbrage at every line in the thought that everything is an insinuation. Perhaps the forum needs the season to come to an end…
  5. Sometimes you have to admit the opposition are not all that. Some good stuff being played though.
  6. Can’t see him from my perch in “Germany”….
  7. Oh dear, how sad, never mind….. **** off Cardiff
  8. Any chance of seeing the lesser striped Mebude today??
  9. Not sure, it looked polite rather than emotional…
  10. Cam with Joe Bryan’s shooting ability would be nice. Although that combo would probably be in the Prem before us…
  11. Am very much liking Roberts in the back 3 now. Looking very classy
  12. And a previous manager of ours was regularly described as a dinosaur… Evans is a unit though…
  13. Vaguely pleasing start. No on the beach mentality on display thus far.
  14. I can recall a game at Brentford where we lost 4 or 5 - 1, after making full use of the pubs around the ground pre-match, the only goal I missed through needing to take an in game pee was ours… My memory is hazy as to our scorer or the year so it could have been Andy Cole, Nicky Maynard or some Scottish fella (Lee- something) who was supposed the next best thing but failed at City.
  15. In most teams I’ve played for this is pretty much standard….. Don’t tend to have long games if batting first
  16. oh lovely another brand new antagonistic wind up account, exactly what the forum needs
  17. I thought she was good, noticed the communication throughout, always talking to the players, rather than dictating. Thought the ref got most of the calls right, though I’d like to see the pen again.
  18. Grow up. Mentioned on an earlier post that some people having a go at one particular individual was getting tiresome…. Attack the post not the poster. Lots of people including me have been saying it was a dreadful game. Should I be going to watch Man City as well???
  19. Probably didn’t deserve that. Although they would not have conceded the pen if they’d not wasted so much time on the shithousery. Reap what you sow.
  20. Got to be honest hard to pick anyone who’s had a decent game. A real season ticket advert this one.
  21. Rubbish goal and a rubbish game. Typical city really, look decent in a couple of games and then distinctly average for the next, and distinctly average is doing a lot of work here.
  22. Think half the problem is the lack of movement up front. James seemed to be waving his hands suggesting he had no one to play forward to.
  23. If cack is the qualifier for substitution, I don’t think we’ve got enough subs…
