  1. Agreed, that was the only question where O’Dowda is a positive answer. I’m not sure he’s done anything else of note since that Norwich goal. Time to see what Janneh can do….
  2. Who would you replace your knackered striker with when you have 2 full backs, a lazy midfielder and a goal keeper on the bench….
  3. Wondered how long it would take the OP to go fishing….. I’ll bite, replace with who and fund with what?
  4. You could make a case for Janneh over O’Dowda right now, but wether they’ve gone for experience over rawness or by what they’ve seen in training, we won’t know. Janneh is a good shout though…
  5. The only way they’re going to solve that is with the chequebook or from proceeds from selling Bentley or Kalas. None of the front three tonight can hold the ball up, we’ve never replaced Wilbraham.
  6. But what options did Pearson have, Bakinson - worse than O’Dowda, and two full backs at a time where we needed to have the ball at the other end of the pitch… I don’t think O’Dowda is the answer to many questions as a rule, but he was the best answer to the one of Wells going off knackered, with the options available on the bench at the time…
  7. Right so trying to get pace on the pitch was a bad idea? Agreed that lumping the ball at him was not going to work, but getting him running into the corners as an outlet surely makes sense, especially against tired defenders even if only to stretch the pitch out a bit, I’d argue that this was the best option with what was on the bench, just a poorly executed. Especially when the remaining bench options were Simpson, Pring and Bakinson.
  8. You don’t accept the that Pearson has to correct the legacy of the previous 2 managers and a dodgy CEO? Too many average players, too many out of contract, some major behind the scenes **** ups on the injury front, and with a wage bill that in the present climate was unsustainable. I reckon he needs at least 2 years to turn it around. Cooper has had the benefit of going to a club that had good players, but were just poorly managed by Hughton.
  9. Nope, but on soggy pitch with tired defenders, O’Dowda running at pace with balls over the top and down channels made perfect sense, Wells was knackered. Our problem was they looked for O’Dowda as the target man to win and hold up rather than chase down.. not defending the player, but the idea made sense with the alternatives they had.
  10. And again what would you change? Third time I’ve asked you, but still no answer…I get it sack the manager as that must be the only answer but replace with who and where is the cash coming from for them to spend?
  11. What was the linesman watching… I suspect the ref was so poorly positioned he would not even have seen Taylor, let alone the handball
  12. Another “look at me” ref, never in the right place, not sure if the assistants were any more helpful. Quite how he missed some of that I’ll never know.
  13. If it in our heads then it’s definitely in the player’s. Time for the sports psychologists to get involved and look to see what can be changed to affect the thinking…
  14. So Scott, Dasilva and Wells did not have great chances, nothing delusional about those. Possession wise you are right, we’re not yet a possession based team, playing a counter attack style at home is not great, but I don’t think we’ve got the players to do anything but just yet. We definitely need a Wilbraham-style back to goal and hold it up player.
  15. I think you’ll find that he rarely speaks to referees at least not publicly. Can’t coach against a stupid pen given away by someone who until that point was arguably our MoM, and then everyone going to sleep leaving Taylor free to hit the ball with whatever appendage he liked…
  16. No I just see the bigger picture and the rebuild, not sack a manager every 5 mins and expect instant results….. I asked you after Bournemouth what would you do differently? Still waiting for a sensible and rationale answer…..
  17. Same old posters, same old line. Just ignore, you’ll get the benefit of sanity…
  18. Just a shit ref…..I noticed that Pearson was just waiting on the touch line at the end of the game looking ready to explode, I’m guessing for the ref to come over and then launch. Robins TV cut away unfortunately for a yoghurt advert so we never got to see… For anyone at the game, did Nige have a pop?
  19. Nope we had plenty of touches in their box and several very good chances. Scott and DaSilva in the first half, Wells second. Another day and we could have been 2 up and cruising. That said I think they were are always going to have to score 2 to win at home. That 90th minute onwards is in the players heads now.
  20. Won’t disagree with that fact, we definitely can’t keep hold of the ball at times.
  21. Another one of his fine decisions, thought he was poor all night
  22. Yes because that’s totally our game plan, we’ve never countered at speed, never looked to get Tanner and Pring/Dasilva wide. Be angry, be gutted, but this is not a long ball team.
  23. Yep, just wait and see the Covid filled hole in the balance sheet, I think it’ll be staggering.
  24. Yes, how many saves did Bentley have to make in 90mins? One stupid mistake for the pen, then a total switch off for the handball winner.
  25. I thought the tiny pricked steroid filled ref got lots of decisions wrong tonight, Scott should have had a pen. The linesman must have had a good view of that too
