How is that now a foul?
Or maybe not on the replay. Bollocks defending all round. Yep the players are affected by this home run, really jittery

Where has Wells been? Anonymous
Don’t think he’s great with knock-ons and winning 2nd balls, he needs stuff to run onto.
-
Last sub, looking to hold what we’ve got….hold tight everyone
-
Being optimistic I’d take off Martin now and play Palmer behind Wells. Some intelligent running and passing might create them some questions. Trying to hold onto this one goal is massively dangerous with our propensity for conceding the last minute goal.

It's interesting that people wait for the first genuinely rubbish half to proclaim that they see no improvement this season, ignoring the games that clearly have been.
Like previous games, why let facts and actuality get in the way of an agenda

Half time summary: like 2 totally pissed blokes throwing haymakers at each other in a pub, with one being marginally less pissed and able to throw slight cuter punches… Arguably should be 2 down. Nowt obvious up front again, lots of huff and puff for nothing

Yeah they are shit, there's not a single goal in any of the players you've mentioned.
I've paid over a thousand pound for 3 season tickets every year for 11 years and I'm not happy with the crap we're being served up right now.
I'm sure you'll say, just **** off we don't need negative people like me, but my family bleed this club and I'm genuinely sick it. 15 games now without a win at home? Joke.
I’m not going to argue with your commitment nor am I going to patronise, although I think you are overly harsh with your opinion of younger players none of whom are out and out strikers. I genuinely think this home hoodoo will end soon, even as soon as Wed. All poor runs come to an end sometime.

Some people think the forum really should be an echo chamber to their views, and then get childish when it isn’t….

I don't give a **** about Cardiff I've travelled the length and breadth if this island watching City. Out home record is horrific if it wasn't for an incredibly wasteful Preston team that would be another dog shit home performance to chalk of the massive list.
If you're happy with this then fine, I want better.
So you really think this group of players are shit? HNM, Atkinson, Kalas, Pring, Scott? You’ve got to forget last season and concentrate on this. As you’ve travelled far and wide then you’d have seen some poorer city teams throughout the years.
I’m happy that there is some progress from the stuff we were watching last year and arguably the year before that, this is a game we’d have lost. I suspect you weren’t criticising the team a fortnight ago and that was my point.
Be frustrated, but this is a team that is being rebuilt, enjoy watching the ups and downs on that. We’re not Man City so can’t buy success….

Season ticket holder since I gave up playing the game 15 years ago, have another go.
Don’t bite, one of his previous posts was advising that the keyboard warriors would be having a go at another poster who shared his opinion…..

Incredibly lucky not to lose. Toothless in attack. Audible cheers around me when they took off Jonhson who was the best player on the pitch by some distance.
Boring to watch, this team is shit.
Said the man who probably didn’t have that view when we played Cardiff. Lots of forum melting going on this afternoon

No one said threaten top 6, just you. We should be beating teams like a struggling Preston at home. Simple as that
I wouldn’t say Preston were struggling….a bit like us in that they are a reasonable championship side, solid at the back and midfield, just a bit lacking up top, probably a bit like playing against a mirror.

You happy with that result are you?
Not unhappy, Preston well organised, we had our moments but this is a game we’d have lost last year. Gave it a good go in the 2nd half. This is a team does not give up which is good to see.

Someone remind me too never get excited for a home game after international break ever again
How long have you supported City? Will you never learn, we are always poor after the international breaks…..

It’s always quieter on home games as many regulars, well, go to the match.
Exactly that, the forum is the interaction with the virtual bloke sitting next to me in the stand who I don’t know whilst watching in my weekend residence in “Germany”

Preston are just cheating bastards aren’t they, shame as I quite like their fans
Not helped by a fussy referee, not every player hitting the floor is Christian Erikson, so no need to call on the medical staff. Had a good go at the end, just not enough quality at set pieces or crossing to really create clear cut chances.
-
Disappointing after the last few performances, really disjointed this far, not holding onto the ball in midfield and creating our own pressure by misplaced passing. Lucky not to be a goal down at least.

I would probably go to 5-3-2 ASAP. Losing midfield battle and too easy to get down the sides of our centre backs.
Seems to be more down the right than the left, Massengo getting caught infield too much. Needs a half-time regroup
-
Story of the ref so far, player in white hits the deck, stop play, player in red then clearly no foul, play on…
-
Typical post international break City, slow to get going

Nope, the usual high quality fare…..Nothing against Toby Osborne as he’s just doing his job, but rather crowd noise than him

Excellent performance, I love this club at times……

Love Wiemann on this form. Always gives 100% even if it’s not happening for him

Yep, massively poor all round, Atkinson should have belted it, Bentley half comes for it, then nobody defending the line.
Not going to turn, but this lot need to score at least twice at home to win a game. Personally I think we should have gone for the second rather than hold, we’re not good enough for that yet.
