  1. Looked like he had half an eye on the cross back, got to be single minded in those positions
  2. Wish Robins TV would turn up the effects microphones…or perhaps commentate from outside
  3. Needs pace up front, not his biggest fan, but Wells will at least add a bit of something. Martin not being especially effective
  4. I’d agree with that to, drop the shoulder, knock it past the full back, sprint onto the ball and knock it into Robbie Turner, who chests it down for Taylor to knock it in, and then making your way from the back to the front of the shed.... That was my football when I was 16...
  5. That’s a good call, Semenyo for Pato or COD, I reckon that could work with our system. He’d bit a tad more direct.
  6. Agree to all of this, he is far better wider and coming in. Not quite sure he is a traditional winger. I could definitely see him as being the sort of roaming forward player behind a front 2 who can pop up on either wing or down a channel.
  7. Question answered Aug 1978. The internet is a wonderful thing. This made me only just 7, so I guess that I can be forgiven for not remembering the date.
  8. My first ever City game in the Grandstand with the old man, I can still picture that goal. Does anyone know when this was, I'm thinking 1976-77?
  9. Your view not mine. Give this lot a few games, and with Famara back, we’ll win more than lose. Arguably a really tough 2 games to start with, got to stop the sloppy goals though. Lets give the manager 10 games and and not just 2 against potential promotion contenders then determine how he has got the team performing.
  10. I reckon there is worthy team inside this lot. Some really good individual performances, Kelly, Webster, Pack, Mapeena (can’t remember how his name is spelt). Deserved at least one goal. I think with Famara back there’ll be a presence up top.
  11. Agree, doing really well against a physical opponent..just need a bit of a presence up front
  12. If I'm right Baker was defending the scorer for both headed goals against us (Bolton & Forest) this season. For a CB he seems to be a bit of a soft touch and not able (or willing) to compete with overly physical players. He could not cope with Morison at Millwall last season, hitting the deck and feigning an elbow injury when Morison scored, and was run ragged by Kiefer Moore at Barnsley. I remain massively unconvinced about him. I would not mind seeing Webster shifted to the left and Bailey Wright being brought into the team on the right certainly for the game tonight. I know Bailey Wright is a bit of a marmite player amongst some of our supporters, but he strikes me as not minding the physical stuff...
  13. Bradley Wright beaten at the back post again. I see no point in bringing Woodrow on over Diony, and struggling to see the excitement of Ryan Kent, he’s a white Junior Bent, lots of pace and **** all end product. Why did we drop Bobby Reid back into midfield and play 1 upfront with no press. We should have cruised that
