Biggest issue I have this season is the hierarchy of the club writing the season off in October, then the lies that followed. It's going to take some time to accept that, if ever possible.
We have a hierarchy!
We must have one of the poorest 'non' structured boards, with very weak characters having vague undefined roles in the league. You're so right DR.
Manning or anyone will have to be super top managers to overcome the deficiencies of those running the club

Is the match being shown..last of season and largely irrelevant for us but for teams in promotion n relegation mix think it should be available?

He has improved massively over last few months. Kicking is better and has kept us in several games
Absolutely, keeps so calm, must help defence in front of him.

Any streaming?

Haven't read all the posts recently...has there been any talk from above about the amazing idea of having an appropriate board of directors for a a multi million pound industry?

Excellent expansion of topic! Spot on.

I still think a manager could perform in spite of what’s above him…and actually influence those above to change / educate them. But appreciate it might need an ally or at least someone with an open mind in there too.
Don't think anyone decent would dream of coming here with the present set up. Noone to oversee development in a number of areas and support will be of no interest to any applicant.

We don't have anything that could reasonably be described as a Board. Therefore there is nobody to challenge the club's decisions.
Not something that most fans care about but the lack of good corporate governance is one of the fundamental reasons for our current state.
Well said... I've mentioned this a couple of times before. This Is the key to all our problems. Noone who will or has responsibility to start to look at how we build a new structure...mainly because they will be doing themselves out of a job!! Makes me want to scream but there is a brick wall we have to overcome!! it makes me very angry and sad the ridiculous state this club is in.
This is the main reason I won't be renewing... like so many others after giving decades of support will it seems be doing the same. I'll be back though when they decide to grow up and be a proper board designed to run a club fit for the modern day challenges.

Go for a walk then. I agree there shouldn’t be discounts for people on benefits . That’s ridiculous .
Any of us could end up on benefits...many do through no fault of their own.

I think you should all renew. I've been supporting 65 years n won't be renewing which makes it a bloody certainty they'll have the best season ever!!

ps. I know there are many posts on different topics that refer to renewing or not but felt it needed one totally focussed on renewals...or not!
-
...until we have a board in place that knows how to run a football club ..simple!!
Really have no future as it stands and really sad as have loyally supported 65 years!
If many withold their renewals they may finally think again about about creating a structure that focuses on the football and not the whims of the few unqualified who are running it at the moment.

It’s partly because I totally agree with you on JL and BT that I don’t want LM sacked - and if he WAS sacked I don’t trust tweedle dum and tweedle Dee to appoint a decent replacement - and they will NOT be sacked (well, Tweedle Dum won’t)
I think (hope) he will turn it around.
just my opinion - I accept I’m in the minority. He has turned it around already!

LM potentially isn't the right man for the job.
BT isn't the right man for the job, as he hired Manning. He shouldn't be allowed to hire Mannings replacement.
Both are the problem.
Put JL in with them please!

I'll be there (7;of us) and you know what we will have a great journey up on the train, a cracking afternoon and evening with a few beers, maybe squeeze in something to eat. We got a nice hotel for the night so don't have to rush back.
The only downside is we will have to watch the football! If it's as bad as the last few games I won't be there to boo them off! Long gone (I sit in the dolman usually!)
Ha...exactly how me n my mate... we add something to the football agenda so we at have some good part of our travels to football. Evening games come up almost from Devon..lunch at the Watershed and then watch a film. Invariably better and some consolation for the football we then have to endure!!

If we win tomorrow...we'll still have a feeble representation of a Board. Need long term hope, not short term wins just to keep on board...I would like us to win 5 or 6 games on the tror!!

Don’t post that often here but am a frequent reader, thought I’d share my thoughts as what I’d considered a balanced City fan.
For context my first season ticket was in the Danny Wilson days at 10 years old, I had become accustomed to different styles of football since then, yielding different results and a whole array of new and “improved” agendas.
To focus on our more recent history, we have had a turbulent few years where we experienced some highs and lows since being back in the championship, which under mr Pearson I had felt was trending in the right direction. I had awaited each pre match interview always excited with what Nige had to say. Arriving to each match with Nige at the helm I felt we were in safe hands and knew that all players were going to give us 100% each game and play to our strengths wherever we could.
As much as I think Liam is a likeable, tactical and potentially progressive head coach, I’m unsure this fit is what we’ve needed to achieve the next level. I feel all previous optimism has completely diminished for me, the whole team play with a different personality and for the first time in a fair few years I don’t feel at one with our club. I’m struggling to look forward to our games currently and feel something has to give with the hierarchy, I’m always going to love our club but hope it’s not just me who’s in a currently disillusioned state!
Couldn't put it better myself....after 65 years seriously thinking I won't renew..talking with mate coming up in the car may just support Taunton...still some interesting place to travel to. So sad I feel like this and very seriously made worse by the Arms Fair

On a slightly diversionary tack...my anxieties are the weakness of the board we have, seriously lacking in any footballing club management nous.
We have no recruitment philosophy it appears...if we do it is very light on experienced staff, we have no DoF, we have a rookie manager (who i so want to be successful ..who has brought a few games of real encouragement but far too many of abject performances), we have BT (technical director?) - great club servant ..does well with youngsters n needs to stay in that Dept, we have a Chair / CEO..not sure what he is but certainly doesn't inspire confidence... the board seems to have been whittled down to a few people who give me no confidence at all that they can seriously move my club forward in any substantial way.
Who in football could seriously revive this sleeping giant, and I do believe it is, would come to city after the chaos and lack of seizing opportunities seen over decades. Second rate management gives us second rate team, second rate prospects. Yes it is a rant. .
After years of supporting the team, 65 in fact, whilst I admit I did have faith in NP with RG working together, (and N P with that temporary CEO of high reputation) I now have very little faith..and am already seriously considering not renewing ST next year.. certainly won't be an Early Bird if they have the courage to offer this in the next few weeks...which I doubt! Very sad!
