  1. Aren't Brighton meant to be looking at him? I n which case he clearly has the chance to play at a higher level and is unlikely to want to join us as a backup. As previously said if this rumour is true then I would suggest Cotts is working on a different formation but the local papers tend to pick up anyone who is linked to the championship atm and suggest we are interested..

    Erm, higher level??

The same Brighton who just avoided relegation from the same league we are now in?!

  2. Really does my head in when Ref's do that probably knew it should been one but thought oh i better not give that or the home fans will be waiting for me when I leave GRR.

Still a great point and the score I wanted other than us winning obviously as didn't want them to score :-)

It wasnt a pen! I was in that corner and 10 out of 10 for Little's dive! A pen wouldve been nice though!
  3. The one thing I always love about Cotts selection is keeping a solid spine to the team, but slightly worrying that he dosnt trust a reserve defender to give one of the defence a rest occasionally - I'd love to know what percentage of games Williams, Ayling & Flint start (excluding any injures or suspensions)

Started every game i believe, bar one where Williams was suspended!
  4. This season on the pitch is going beyond my wildest dreams, another good win and an away atmosphere that yet again triumphs the home atmosphere week in week out.

Thinking of not splashing out on a season ticket next year and putting that money towards away games instead if the clubs plans for unreserved seating don't change, as are a far few many others I speak to, so much more enjoyable!

Well done Cotterill and the lads for giving us what we've wanted for seasons, your all!

As per many other threads, the club clearly arent up for letting the old east enders sit/stand near to away fans. Therefore i suggest they get seats next year in blocks A&B of the Dolman. This is the nearest they will get to away fans in the future IMO. However this may not happen as them from the east end wont want to pay the going rate will they!!! You cant keep getting discounted rates for better views! Come and join us in the Dolman and make A&B what they used to be.
  5. The problem is, no matter what JET does he divides opinion. I think hes long gone and hope we get rid, yet plenty think he still offers something.

Personally the 'offering something' is more now thought of in hope than expectation as hes spent 2014 doing bugger all. Scored most of his goals in late 2013 and yes he sets some up, but chances are he will if he plays.

Where we are at now though is team over individuals. Based on this he doesnt fit in. Noone will win arguments but i believe his days are numbered. We werent good today but he was a passenger. For all the lack of quality today, there were plenty putting in a shift, the bare minimum a pro should do, and JET wasnt one.

  6. Which City players ARE playing well then?

Not the point Nog. He has been anonymous for virtually all of 2014. Had a great start to last season and never kept it going into 2nd half of last season. All this 'he might do something' is wishful thinking now. He clearly doesnt have the application to use his talent adequately.

We look so much better without him now its clear he needs to leave. SL saying players out to make way for new ones. JET is one for me to be offski, asap.

  7. Well I wasn't expecting that result.

I had city down to win this 2-1, considering our 2 best midfielders were on international duty. And I don't think the 11 v 10 issue had anything to do with it, no matter what any city connected people say. If a team is good enough to win they should be able do it with 10 men regardless. Teams with 10 men have won games before - it is not a rarity. We played well enough in the second half to win it, and win it we did. end of.

Now I believe that City will win the division this year. Strong team, good backing, good support and the rest. they deserve to be in the championship. But I think (hope?) Swindon can give them a run for their money and at least make life a little more uneasy at the top over the next 5-6 months.

Looking forward to the game at Ashton Gate - when hopefully we get a chance to see how we fare against a City '11'.

It's not 'their cup final' or 'your cup final' and all that peacock strutting nonsense that comes with being a WUM. It's just the nearest thing we have to a local derby with a bit of history over the years, so yes passions are bound to be a little over the norm than when playing Rochdale or Oldham etc...from both sides, before and after the fact of the result.

Erm, team with 10 being good enough to win as it makes no difference if 10 or 11? How did that theory go at Cheltenham last week?!

I didnt mind most of your post until i read that.

As for Thompson, oooh i cant wait for the return. Hes guna get plenty ( thats if he doesnt have a 10 match ban by then for another half a dozen red cards! ).
