You could physically see the exhaustion and dejection on each and every one of those Russians. A combination of a long tournament and a quality Spain outfit made it just one step too far. With Germanys woeful semi's perfomance it looks like Spain will be favourites of course the final is a completly different game but for sure Germany need to defend better if they want to win as spain showed they are lethal attacking and are patient. The comparisons with England, although true to a point, are only that: Maybe only defensively and drive are we arguably superior to Spain, other than that I'd say they're much better than us in all areas. They seem to have adpoted a different attitude to what Spanish and latin teams in general used to be like with excessive feigned injury, diving and brutal hard men at the back.Nice to see them far more sportsman like and playing some great football. Great that Torres and Fabrigas both play in England as well.What great players they are and both under 25.So much more to come from both of them.Hopefully we'll see them for a long time to come gracing the Premier League. I had a flutter on them from the start.. made a few bob and bought all the guys and gals here a few jars. truly deserved it. Thank goodness the germans failed for once.
