Yeap. He got his foot injury by putting his foot in his mouth..... :rofl2br:

It must have been that injured foot that prevented him from putting the ball into the net on Sat from 3 yards, instead of screwing it horribly wide, and giving us a chance of getting back into the game.

Soooooooooooooo fed up with hearing about the world according to a player who has achieved nothing in the game, and should be one of the first casualties if we do start to bridge the skill gap to the better teams in the CCC.

to be totaly honest i think trundle looked incredible out on the left tonite and i think johnson should take a gamble with keeping him there for sheffield even if mcindoe is able to play due to what ever reasons :fingerscrossed:

I thought Trundle looked class out on the left. I think it will get the best out of McIndoe in the end if he knows he has realistic competition for his place. Brian Wilson I'm afraid is not realistic competition.

Talk about speculating for the sake of it, Johnson said after the game 4 players including McIndoe had late fitness tests. 3 of the 4 didn't make the squad but because McIndoe said we're falling short of our own targets many on here think he's been dropped, disciplined and is a bad influence in the dressing room?

Everyone loves to say we always believe, rubbish, half the people on here don't believe a word Johnson says.

Rant over!

Brookers injured as I understand it.

Yeah, and apparently one of the reasons Brooker was getting so frustrated last season was that somebody within the club was making up injuries about him last season.....now he's out again, and no news about where he's at with his latest 'injury'.

Out of contract at the end of the season, isn't he?

well I saw Mr McIndoe driving his nice bentley out of AG after the match last night, so he can't be persona non grata at the moment, unless he was there to hand in his transfer request...

He was there and spotted before and after the game.

He didn't play because like Carey and Elliott, he failed a fitness test, plain and simple

Apparently?! Hardly going to stand up in court is it? Johnson has stood by Brooker more than anyone so why write something so unfounded?

Acheived nothing in the game ???

1. Helped Yeovil win the FA Trophy Vase for the first time in their history.

2. ALL !! conference managers voted him best player in the year that GJ, with help from LJ and MM, took Yeovil into the football league for the first time in their history. Never been a unanimous vote before or since!

3. A Scot whose played his way up thro' every level in English football except the Premier - and only just missed out last year

4. Put his early troubles with drink and gambling - as a very young player (17) with an excess of money too early and far from home - behind him, and rebuilt his career

5. Been recognised at international level for his country - 2 caps at Future Squad level

6. Helped Doncaster to a fantastic cup run a couple of seasons ago - scoring against Man City, Aston Villa and Arsenal

7. Derby avoided relegation from the Champoinship a couple of years ago by bringing him in with 11 games to go

8. Established as a recognised Championship player by other ex international managers - e.g. McCarthy at Wolves

9. Bristol City's most consistent player last year with most assists and goals combined (Prozone stats)

10. Ambitious for himself and EVERY club he's played for

11. Gives 100% honest effort every game and HATES getting beat.

Does your life experience compare ??? What's wrong with being a driven person and speaking your mind ??? That's what's called being a winner !!!

I'm tired of reading about his old past from years ago, and vague rumours of issues at other clubs - again all referring back to his time as a youngster at Luton. GJ brought him to Bristol for all the right reasons and had worked with him for three years at Yeovil, so knows his character better than anybody.

The various anti McIndoe (and LJ) posts on this forum all pop up whenever there's a scapegoat needed for a couple of bad results.

The official site clearly quotes GJ as saying he's carrying a knock and underwent a morning fitness test -with Carey and Elliot - so leave it at that.

MM's recent interview contains no "slagging" of anybody, just an honest appraisal of the current position - sometimes the truth hurts, but it's better than being deluded.

GJ has also said that his own tactics are to ask the wingers to tuck in a lot of the time - so McIndoe's not "drifting" inside during matches as mentioned on other posts - he's doing what he's told !!!

Let's get on with supporting the TEAM and stop singling out individuals who give 100% every week.

I'm assuming he's a personal friend of yours then. Even his most ardent supporter (you) must admit he hasnt been great this season so far. Great last season, not this.

Along with Orr, McAllister, Basso, Williams and Maynard, McIndoe hasnt reached the required levels for the Championship yet.

Hi Mr McIndoe, see you have followed city since the day MM signed.

I don't disagree with your points 1-11, pretty much fact, his comments after the play off final seemed a bit strange but showed he is a winner, expected nothing but promotion and was gutted.

Can't say before (last season) that McIndoe has been made a scapegoat, LJ maybe.

So say he was carrying a knock, but GJ's comments before the game (about words) puts doubts into that.

The interview, just honest appraisals, maybe, as you say the truth hurts and it seems it did, a word or two in the gaffers office is surely the way to voice concerns, not in the public if you have respect for your manager and colleagues. He is a good player, but, as he comes across, he thinks he is better, not saying thats right or wrong but judging by his short stays with previous clubs fans will voice there concerns about his value to the squad overall.

McIndoe is not afraid to say it how it is. I like watching interviews of him as it's very insightful. He doesn't do bullshit just says what he feels. I feel he will have a very good career as a pundit once he hangs them boots up.

So, in summary, has contributed at conference and championship level - and Scotland B level!! The 'how does your life experience compare?' argument is complete BS. I didn't come out in the press on Sat and make comments that are clearly the preserve of my manager to make. Neither have I been paid as handsomely for my meagre talents as McIndoe has.

McIndoe is still a player - albeit one of limited ability, despite your impressive 'hall of fame' style eulogy - if he wants to be a pundit, he should wait until he is no longer part of a team effort. 'Speaking your mind' is not 'what's called being a winner', its what's called 'cutting across the manager who has to try and manage a group of players in a coherent way, and doesnt need puffed-up individuals making his job more difficult'.
