Friendly Behind Closed Doors!

July early 1970s. City & Rovers had both started training and met up for a game at WSM. The FA had set not a transfer, but a friendly window. This encouter occurred before the window opened, so the game could not even be advertised and the two teams had to "accidentally" meet on the same day at the same location. 1-1 I believe and it was reported in the EP despite not officially having taken place!

Its because information is power.

GJ is the best manager we have had for a generation......but...we must understand that he is not one to play his hand to us fans via the OS. To do so plays in to the hands of our opposing teams as well.

The ploy sometimes is surprise, admittedly it hasn't always worked this term, but our expectations are too high after a superb season 07/08.

I think forest, donny and barnsley will struggle to get above us this season.

Lets just settle for a high finish (ish) this time, safe in the knowledge that we made a profit on a bad egg (NC) but were panicked into buying Maynard (still bags of potential (unlike achilles Brooker)) and have a chairman who foresaw the credit crunch long before the plonkers in canary wharf.
