With the planning application expected to be submitted in early March this is a great way to show BCC, the planners and councillors that there is a lot of support for this scheme. The petition ends in February and then feedback to the petition is given by BCC. You can view the live petition 'leaderboard' here: http://epetitions.bristol.gov.uk/activepetitions.php We're currently on 94 signatures and the wildlife/gas one is on 190+. Personally I think it would get right up there noses and galvanise their opposition to it. Just think how you would feel if they posted a petition on here urging the council to accept planning for redevelopment of the Minimal(well not you but you know what I mean).
