Doubting Thomases?

It wasn't that long ago, you couldn't say a word against Gary Johnson without being shot down in flames.

Now, it seems, he is open season - with some stating the very same questionable traits exhibited by our manager, that the flamers were disregarding and ignoring a month or two back.

Funny how a loss of form changes opinion, isn't it?

Neither funny nor remotely surprising. Football is the ultimate results business... you win, you can do/say what you like... a bad run & everything is analysed under the microscope.

No different to Wolves fans wanting McCarthy sacked 12 months ago ... as were Cardiff fans with regards to Dave Jones.

It's normal behaviour for football fans, doesn't make it sensible mind you.......

Anything other that contructive critizism up until a month or so ago was crazy in my opinion. But now its clear that promotion to the Premier League is once again a distant dream - I feel people are entitled to complain.

I for one hope the managers loyalty to this current squad fades, because we are in need of improvement. Having said that, having a average season this season, wont be a bad thing considering where we came from - as long as we don't slip into a relegation battle.

Many of those that you refer as 'flamers' were either experienced or insightfull enough to to see through last seasons success. Some were brave enough to comment on here about it. No doubt that City were lucky on quite a few occasions last season - the very luck that has its own thread currently running.

The fact is that reality has set in and now that results aren't going well some fans are begining see the real picture. Truth is the signs were there all of last season particularly in the last 10 games or so when City seemed to get found out and struggled to put decent results together.

Same for Kevin Keegan, Allardyce, John Ward, Peter Taylor, Sammy Lee. In this game your only as good as your last game...

This is GJ`s team/squad his choice, their success or failure is also down to him. We help to pay them and hope for success. We also support them as they represent our club but most of them are just passing through it, taking what they can on the way. :noexpression:

Should we dare to question his judgement ? well yes we express opinions on them but cannot influence them.

Its your bed Gary you made it you have to lie in it.

So now that Lee Johnson is no longer a surprise package and is proving once and for all that he isn't anything like a quality championship midfield player and only performs one good game in four or five are we allowed to say that as well?

And is it now accepted by EVERYBODY on this board that an opinion on GJ's decision making is ALLOWED prior to the end of the season and that we don't always have to place BLIND TRUST in him? The worm really is turning!!!

A couple of complete #### in amongst that lot - i'm not the biggest fan of GJ's style of management but I would never compare him to Keegan or Lee.
