Facts And Figures

Yeah, I just sent a copy of the league table from Dec 20th and today to my mate (reading fan.

It was then I realised how amazing we have done. Compare to Plymouth. Same period: 10 games, 6 points. Ouch. And Wolves... 8 points.

How about this, stat-fans: If Wolves had hit our fun of form in the past 10 games, they'd now be 21 points clear at the top 'o' the table on 81.

I really hope that Wolves don't claw it back! So many times, they look strong and thier fans (and usually the boss-man) give it large, but they often don't quite seem to last the distance. I almost feel sorry for 'em.

I would be amazed if Wolves don't get enough points to go up with the fixtures they have left. On paper they should breeze it.

Cardiff have a very good looking run-in as long as they don't burn out cramming lots of games in.

Reading have 8 AWAY games left, 4 in March and 4 in April, that's going to be hard going.

Brum have a mixed bag, still have left to play all of the current top 6 home or away.

Who knows what will happen, I'm just glad that we have dragged ourselves out of what could have been a very different end to the season had we not found some fantastic form 10 games ago.

Form wise , we are top.. obviously :D :D Wolves are 2nd BOTTOM and very lucky to get anything from Cardiff whilst Reading and Brum are stalled in 12th and 13th place respectively.

On our current form ( 2.5 pts per game) we would finish on a very healthy 83 pts.

Our season average though is 1.5 which would give us 71pts which was enough for 6th last season ( Watford) and looking at our fixtures seems fairly realistic

I thought we would finish just out of the play offs but this run has really given us a good chance of another lottery ticket.

Mind you after the Reading game ... :Believe: we might do anything.

you reds.

Going by that, we should manage at least four points from the next two games.

It's funny ain't it because if that was the start of the season, Mick McCarthy would've probably been sacked by now with the way that football is these days

We have players coming back from injury, McCombe, Styvar and James Wilson. We have Trundle available on recall and Adebla hitting a hot streak.

IMO its down to injuries and GJ's selections, then automatic would not be impossible. Selections will vary, especially if we have two games in a week or have players with a niggle. Elliot I have left out because groin tears are a long term injury requiring plenty of rest.

My best squad if all fit.

Basso

Orr Carey Fontaine McAllister

Sproule Williams Skuse McIndoe

Maynard Adebola

Bench : Weale, James Wilson, Noble, Izzy, Styvar/John.

I don't rate McCombe or LJ ahead of Fontaine, Williams or Skuse. Before you ask ! Just my opinion.
