I seem to remember GJ saying a few weren't fit enough, or experienced enough at the time - wonder if we've been keeping an eye on them since? Also - just to clear this up. The transfer window doesn't officially open until 1st July, but deals can still be done. Players are being released all over the place, so obviously they are free to sign whenever. Anyone from a foreign league whose contract is expiring can talk to other clubs from 1st Jan and agree a deal and clubs will still do deals for hard cash right now - good way of keeping income flowing during the summer months. With the astronomic sums we are paying and the European Union being one single market we should have far better players than we actually have.
