dargla
Carlisle Utd: Five possible loan players looks like Artus is one of them. FRANKIE ARTUS Club: Bristol City Age: 20 Position: Midfielder If Carlisle are seeking a sprightly, young central midfielder who can slot from box to box and find the opposition net with decent regularity, a glance towards the west country might help. At the heart of Cheltenham's dogged attempt to beat relegation last spring was Artus, the 20-year-old borrowed from Bristol City when all appeared lost. Martin Allen's Whaddon Road reign has been a trolley-dash through the aisle of potential loan recruits, but Artus was among his most inspired. The Bristol-born player scored on his first two Cheltenham appearances and fired another as the Robins fought bravely against the inevitability of the drop. A return to Cheltenham in League Two is unlikely to appeal, while breaking into Bristol City's high-quality Championship collective may prove tough in 2009/10. So League One beckons again. Greg Abbott may hope that Marc Bridge-Wilkinson's return from injury will give him the penalty-box threat he needs from his middle men. But Artus could provide a youthful alternative. 'Orns
I wouldn't be surprised if there's not a few L1 clubs looking at him after his stint at Cheltenham last season. Does anyone know if he signed the contract he was offered, or could he be out there looking for a permanent move?

22A
while breaking into Bristol City's high-quality Championship collective may prove tough in 2009/10. Always interesting to hear and/or read what others think of City.
