The Man In Black
I don't think this has been posted yet, apologies if it has. By Matthew Lawrence, Crystal Palace defender who was on the bench: http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/co...icle120617.html "Replay the match? I don't think so. As a team we'd probably of done the same thing." So much for Warnock and Jordan's "moral high ground" claims. They must need oxygen up there.... lukejones2
A pretty well written piece - so why on Earth does he make the most irritating mistake in the history of mistakes and use "Would OF"??!?!?!?!?!?!

Leveller
Where? Twice in the same article. Could blame it on the club he plays for, but I suspect it's fairly typical for a footballer!
red and breakfast
Twice in the same article. Could blame it on the club he plays for, but I suspect it's fairly typical for a footballer! I thought the biggest error was saying that even to the neutral, Palace were by far the better team! Tosh
The Man In Black
Twice in the same article. Could blame it on the club he plays for, but I suspect it's fairly typical for a footballer! Ah, I was quite literally looking for "would of", but I did find a "If I'd of been" on a second scan. Have you ever heard most footballers speak? I would cut them a little slack with their standard of writing...

Philip Belgrave
very much doubt he actually wrote it. Without too much doubt ,the piece has been been ghost written by a journalist. The " would of" was probably deliberately inserted to add an authentic touch.
Henry
I'm struggling to accept the 'fact' Palace were the better side
Roe
I'm struggling to accept the 'fact' Palace were the better side Yeah same here. Sure it was a close game and Palace had a few really good chances saved brilliantly by Gerkin but when the ball was in open play I thought if anyone, it was us that looked the better team. All of Palace's attacks came from soft free kicks (and there were dozens of them throughout the game) whereas ours were from proper football.
