I would suggest we don't need to bring in another striker at all.. and especially not a 'target man'. It will be tricky to bring someone in with championship quality who doesn't mind being a 4th or 5th choice striker. We looked much better last night playing football on the floor and when we did hit it long we tended to lose possession. I much prefer to see us play footie on the deck but sometimes against teams of the 'colin' mentality a physical presence is unfortunately necessary. However it might not be a bad thing if we can't since it will stop GJ from doing his usual merry go round selections up front and we might see some good partnerships develop. I'm more concerned that we sign a proper replacement for McIndoe because this wing back lark is unlikely to last more than a few games before it is consistently countered. And it leaves us with only one other realistic option...going 4-3-3. It seem's we haven't got the ability/depth (dunno whats the right word?) with our squad at the moment to revert/change to a 4-4-2 if required. I thought maybe Blackman may be the LW on the bench should we need to change to a 4-4-2 or similar but judging by the fact he wasn't even on the bench lastnight...i guess he's not (heard no word on any injury). I feel it's important someone is added here...even if they are just a simple squad player...just so we have the option to switch to a more orthodox formation with wide men when the wing back route isn't working. I wouldnt touch Henri Camara! It's been years since he's done anything of note. Think our style of play would suit him as well, only problem is he would probably need a bit of time and lot of first team action to get back to his best after spending so long on the bench at Sunderland and Fulham. Said it before but if Haynes, Maynard or Clarkson gets injured we could use Trundle if he doesn't leave in the hole and push Clarkson forward but do feel we need someone who can really mix it against teams like Palace.
