West Ham's Calum Davenport and his mother have both been stabbed at his home in Bedford.

I know its not City related but may I be the first to wish him and his mother all the best for a healthy recovery.

Thoughts are with them and their family at this time.

I think thats who Jeff Stelling was talking about on Soccer Saturday.

He said his club wont comment at the moment but have said it is serious.

What the **** was the stabber doing!? Hes just at home with his mother and kid i heard and then they both get stabbed!? ****ing idiot.

My thoughts are with his family and hopes he recovers well and is playing for West Ham again soon.

As the player was stabbed in both legs, it suggests the attacker knew he was a footballer and wanted to get at him. A thief or murderer would have stabbed the chest (I presume).

Not being stupid, but any chance it could be local london rivals or someone out of south bermondsey, as i know they got milwall coming up in the club.
