im a bit worried about them lumping high balls up to their big forwards

We will have to stand up to that and also ensure we are first to all the knockdowns.

Think they have been playing a bit narrow aswell so could make for a conjested mifdield

could it be time for saborio to step up and show his international pedigree?

We're going in unchanged, Fonts still out (ankle) and Hartley is back on the bench!

Newcastle United: Harper; Simpson, S.Taylor, R.Taylor, Gutierrez; Nolan, Khizanishvili, Guthrie, Lovenkrands; Smith, Harewood.

Subs: Geremi, Butt, Carroll, Krul, Kadar, Ranger, Donaldson.

City: Basso; Orr, Carey, Nyatanga, McAllister; Skuse, Johnson, Elliott; Sno, Saborio, Maynard.

Subs: Clarkson, Haynes, McCombe, Williams, Sproule, Gerken, Hartley.

I thought Ryan Taylor was definitely ruled out a few days ago. :noexpression:

Either they were fibbing, or he's made an incredible recovery or he's only half fit but they have to play him. Let's hope for the last one and he hobbles off after a few minutes putting them into disarray.

Newcastle's midfield looks strong, that's where the battle will be won or lost, so let's hope Skuse, Elliott, LJ and Sno really get stuck in.

Why is he starting!!! Im listening on BBC Bristol and it is the same starting team as Blackpool! Haynes should be starting and Saborio should come on later in the game :@

Why what has Saborio done wrong the guy is class and so far has a one in 4 goal ratio so why shouldn't he be starting.?

To be honest i think GJ has got it right, bringing on Haynes later on in the game IMO will be more effective than starting with him.
