Derby Fans Seem To Rate Lee Alot!

Hartley is def our best creative midfielder, i think LJ could have been a decent replacement if Hartley gets injured/suspended - but thats it . I guess Sno will play that position now if Hartley is out.

LJ may just flourish now at Derby as he won't have the same pressures he had here, i wish him well!

Lee Johnson is shit and cannot make it consistantly at this level. Nothing more needs to be said.

So the fact that he has played consistently for the last 2 1/2 seasons is what? just because his dad is the manager - his dad isn't the manager at Derby!

We do not need lee Johnson, we have five far better central midefield players already and another (Artus) ready to step up if Johnson realises that players from the acadamy actually exist. He's simply not good enough for this level.

Correct - we have better players now but that shouldn't hide the fact that Johnson is a good player at this level - not aimed at you but you don't get to the play-off final carrying players in this league.

he is good enough for this level as he has proved by playing at this level for the last 2 1/2 years.

Hartley, Sno, Skuse and Elliott are all more effective players than Lee Johnson, it's as simple as that.

I hope he continues to do well at Derby and their fans continue to praise him.

Disagree on Elliott, but the others are bang on the button. That's not to say LJ's a bad player, but centre mid is our strongest position... Sno & Hartley would slot into almost every team in the league without question.

He may have been playing at this level for 2 and a half years but not very well and we have 5 central midfield players who are better than him.

Anyone seen the clip on bbc website of derby players hitting balls at savage?

Pretty sure that Lee Johnson hits him square in the face. Didnt he also win crossbar challenge the other day aswell on soccer am?

Surely with this kind of deadly accuracy he should have been a dead ball specialist???

As for my opinion in the little man i felt he was good enough for squad here, and good like for like cover for hartley, but that was it for me. I certainly dont feel we were going to reach a higher level with him as a reg starter. On a personal level i think a move away would be best for him anyway. Fresh start for him where he can try and let his footie do the talking without living in nepotism shadow.

Good luck LJ, and well done for hitting Savage in the face!

Get over yourself.

I'm still astonished that some supporters enjoy running Bristol City players down so much.

Cos when his inclusion in the squad has a negitive affect on us then I think it's ok to run the shit players into the ground.

Sorry but you don't finish in the top half of the table in your first 2 seasons in this league (once being 2 goals away from going up) by carrying players. Do you think there is any chance you are wrong?

one i heard from 2 differant parts of the country last week, honest.

1.

gary will be joining lee at Derby

2.

curbishley will be joining us mid feb.

I hate to burst your bubble but Curbishley really is not going to come here - There are plenty of teams at the bottom of the prem that have tried to get him only to be turned down.

Gary wont be going to Derby either - there a club nicely placed to do next to nothing for next couple of years.

I'm not surprised Derby fans like him, he's a top quality player at this level.

Whats the saying?....Don't realize how much you miss something until its gone. I think Lee is a good example of this.

Not sure where his future lies, but I have an awful feeling he may have played his last game for us. Hope not, but not gonna allow myself to get too sentiment over it, Just wish him the best and thanks for the effort he's put into this club.

where have you been...he doesnt help our forwards cant get up or back quickly doesnt score gets brushed off the ball. all other midfielders at club have got on the scoresheet this season in a smaller amount of games , he will be found out after a while no doubt

Well a lot of what you've said could also be levelled at Brian Tinnion especially the scoring, but apparently he's a 'legend'.

some people make me laugh why is there not threads about how poor marv has been for nearly two years or how naylor should be sacked and we sign a new gk coach because gerks looks at times like he couldn't catch a cold

if lj is a poor player who's level is the lower league then he wouldn't be making a good impression at a decent championship side

Every season he's played for us, we have a better record with him playing than not, which kinda proves you wrong on the first bit.  Secondly, if he's so bad then why do Derby rate him?

Thirdly, how much crack do you have to be smoking to think that it's ok to run any of our players you deem shit into the ground?

That has to be the most retarded comment I've ever seen on these forums.

Dont let the true facts get in the way, its obvious when he plays everyone has to play that much better because the team is carrying him. fish.gifsnack.gifliar.gif

don't forget someone once said that GJ was a conference manager which comes close but yeah running your own players into the ground has to be a top example of very very poor support.

Ever thought that he played shit because of so called supporters like yourself? His own fans on his back every time he makes a mistakes....

Look at Cole Skuse, he often makes mistakes, sometimes quite often - look at the cardiff game - he was shocking - but he'll bounce back like he always does, partly due to the great support he gets.....

Why are boring threads like this allowed to run continueously whereas many interesting debates have been locked of late? Maybe if the debates that are deemed to 'offensive' or 'risque' were allowed to continue then the same old conversations wouldn't keep appearing.

P.S - He is the weakest CM out of the main 6 we use imo and I would very much like it if we sold him to free up wages innocent06.gif
