im pretty sure all deals are conducted in the plough in portishead not the white lion,

my wife took the little un to feed the ducks down the lakegrounds and swears blind she saw AC enjoying a cornetto, strawberry I think!!

I'm not doubting your missus but AC's Wiki page says his favourite Cornetto is Minty Choc Chip, not Strawberry. And the type of deals that are conducted in the Plough aren't quite the ones that involve securing the services of a football manager.............

Any tapping up will be done firmly away from prying eyes and strictly in private, and under non-disclosure contracts...the first anyone will hear of it will be if an appointment is made, or it is leaked from the club.

You had a serious pill with your cup of tea?! Notwithstanding this, i would agree and it would be extremely surprising to see any prospective manager do anything else but keep his head down until any announcement was made, not go househunting in the local area.

Wasn't intending to come over as serious, just baffled that there are those that give credence to such speculation.

Does that mean it's curtains for Gary, or Alan?

Maybe they should just pull themselves together.

We all know that Curbishley's teams are specialists at "drawing"

Honestly this is a fantastic thread, I love the rumour mill and sauce threads.

Maybe Tinnion has his eye on the Bristol Manor Farm job and is looking at a place in Sea Mills

Now i don't know if you're joking or not (call me naive if you will!) but my brother in law, who isn't a City fan but is well connected in football circles, told me today that he had heard Curbishley had just rented a place in Portishead. I live in Portishead and i've yet to see him in Waitrose or on the swings down the Lake Grounds, but perhaps he's still finding his way around?

Yes, he probably got lost and thought West Ham play in portishead....tumbleweed.gif

I love football rumours, they are 90% crap but always bring lots of funny stuff.

Occasionally when one comes off we have the usual backtracking by one or two, another pops in to say I had heard about this two weeks ago but didn't want to post and the amazed bugger who has it spot on takes the crown of King poster for a day.

Give me football rumours everyday over Lee Johnson is crap threads.

At least the LJ is crap threads have some substance....rofl2br.gif

This is a long winded rumour, most definatley been changed as it passed on through each person, who knew someone with a dog that was bred by someone or other . . . Anyways, try and keep up!

Hull have said that Curbs isn't on their list, and AC's people have said he has a job lined up for the summer and his scouts are already looking at players. The job is thought to be at Ashton Gate.

Johnson resigned after/during the Cardiff game, but SL convinced him to stay - UNTIL THE END OF THE SEASON so that we can keep ourselves settled and not risk getting relegated. (Haha, I know . . . )

Once the whistle goes on the last day of the season, Johnson will give us all a nice little wave and a clap, and AC will get to work as the new Bristol City manager in time for the 2010/11 season.

Don't worry, I call this totall bull, but I thought it was funny, and worth a share!

You know what.....of all the rumours I've read on here, this one has the most legs! Replace Curbs with Coppell or Southgate and I reckon you could be onto something! You may be being a little ironic, but that makes as much sense as anything else I've read!

GJ working his notice! this thought has crossed my mind many times, plus the rumors of AC that have been circulating for a while now, I'm not so inclined to rubbish it all as I did originally.

I dunno, just can't see AC giving up his position as Chairman of the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month Awards panel. laugh.gif
