22A
OK folks, it's close season so to pass the time I trawled through the records. City have now been in the Football League 108 years, but have only played in 97 seasons due to 11 seasons being lost to the two world wars. In that time City have P 4199, W 1637, D 1090, L 1472, F 6027, A 5702, PTS 4897. Can anyone help complete my record though? I have us down as 1994-95 P45, W11, D11, L23, F41 A62. Did I miss the final result of the season, or did we play an odd number of games that year? As it stands a 103 point haul this coming season will put us on 5000 points exactly. Can't help with your question, but it is good to see we have more wins than draws or losses and also scored more goals than we've let in.
Nibor
We played 46 games that season according to soccerbase. You appear to be short a 1-1 draw. We drew 1-1 vs Blackpool away on the last day?
oldfield
I think the last game of the season was against Millwall.
Nibor
I think the last game of the season was against Millwall. You're right it was, back button playing tricks on me (it had gone back to this season!). Millwall was 1-1 though.

22A
Thanks for the replies everyone, that 1-1 draw means City have now played exactly 4,200 league games and we only need 102 points this coming season to make it the round 5,000 points. To make up a spread sheet that added each column up as I went took less than an hour. Looking through the history it was interesting to note one season City scored 100, conceded 95 and finished in the lower half of the table. I wouldn't mind a copy of that spreadsheet mate, would be an interesting read
seebokseduction
Also, just a thought, from season 1981-1982 clubs were awarded 3 points for a win instead of 2. This would make an obvious difference to our overall points tally if teams were always awarded 3 points for a win.
NiceRed
I think he's taken the introduction of 3 pts for a win into account. If we had played 3 pts for a win throughout our history, we'd be on 6002 pts - meaning we'd have passed the 6000 at the end of last season at home to Derby. 22A
Correct! I've now added a column to allow three points for a win throughout our history which gives City 6002 points.
