I love all the puns and jokes on this thread.

A "Miner Miracle" I think

But, on a serious note (if you will excuse me) I must admit I got a bit tearful watching those guys being pulled out of the ground just now on the TV news.

Imagine if you were trapped a mile underground thinking you were going to slowly starve to death.

An impressive, superb engineering achievement to get them out of there.

Pinera is milking it, unashamedly, what a sleezbag. I don't see what all the fuss is about tbh, and why the BBC have had 3 day coverage of it is beyond me, and very annoying listening to the presenters talk about the same shit as clearly there is little much to talk about, its 30 men downa big hole ffs, how much information do you need?

~Dont get me wrong, im glad they're out, but Jeeez, the coverage has been overkill, how about covering the thousands and thousands of kids who died under tyrannical rule of most of Africa, Asia and South America this week?

As saving 30 lives is so very important, which it clearly is, then why do went not get more coverage when a hospital performs on operation that saves a life, or the dispensing of malaria drugs, surely thats 2000 saved in one week by a red cross team? Just bullshit, **ing media, already they are talking about 'celeb' status, which is quite fitting considering all you need to do to become a celeb is absolutely **** all but get your face on TV for a moment.

You need anger management. It's the feel-good story of the decade, ffs!

Agreed, you need some happy pills dude!!!

No I agree with him, the media has an annoying habit of focussing on small scale stories they know will go down well (like some men stuck in a hole) instead of reporting important matters like the thousands of kids dying in third world countries..
