Esmond Million's Bung
I'd accept that was the case with Hunt, but Cisse? He only played 3 and we won one of those! I don't think Stewart was "consistently" bad, either, just very poor against Watford.... Perhaps it's a statement like "don't blame me, blame the nutter who only stayed for 2 games". cityfan
I posted myself and totally agree that Millen should know his formation. That is indisputable. That aside I think calling for his head is ridiculous. We all say that young players should be given a chance and they never are. Why not Managers? I get sick of people asking for the Manager to be sacked all the time. A significant amount of responsibility lies with the players. As if changing Millen will change fortunes that quickly. Stick with Millen Reduce the playing squad Remove any trouble Decide on a formation Play players in their best positions and promote a balanced team If someone is out of form, don't play them just because they are a stalewart of the team (e.g. If Carey is not performing, put in Ribiero) That is all he needs to do to prove himself. Also, look at new players in the January window, don't bring in anymore now and I assume he is listening to what David James in saying regarding the defence? At least i hope so
