Melksham Red
Tommy Doherty wasn't exactly Linford Christie. If he had been quicker he would of surely played in the Prem. One of mates played against Tommy when he was younger and said he was lighten over 10 yards. Couldnt believe how quick he was over short distances. Joe Burnell on the other hand..... sglosbcfc
Andy Llewellyn was a terrible shout, he was very quick over 10 yards and used to hammer into wingers. tommy Doc was reasonably quick until he had that nasty injury and lost a yard of pace. If he didn't get that injury he would have been a Premier League player without a shadow of doubt. Lots of good suggestions but some awful ones also. Joe Burnell was a box to box midfielder who was super fit and had average speed. To call him the slowest City player ever is a joke. Vasko, McCombe, Dinning and Matt Heywood are great shouts. My old man called Heywood 'the lamppost' .

Galley is our king
Any one else remember Ernie Hunt?........... He must be included in this catagory! The only player who could run the midfield and not leave the centre circle. Amazing passer with a wicked shot, great character.

Mr Roper
Ernie Hunt has to be the slowest player we ever had on our books ,did,nt he come up with the line "I knew I was going slow when the linesman overtook me " .To be fair we did get him at the end of his career so may have been a bit quicker before we got him .
